“Amanda….. Amanda”; my step-mum called out in anger.

“oh my God”; i said as i came out from my new room (the visitor’s room.

I ran out to her to know what the matter was.

“come take this money and go down the street and get me 2 create of egg, and be fast about it”; she said as she gave me two thousand naira.

“ok ma” i replied as i make a move to the door.

“sister can i follow her?* victoria said while she came down stairs to the living room.

“uh.. Yes why not”; my step mum reply

Victoria was happy as she joined me,

We went outside and started walking along the street, we didn’t talk for long until i broke the silence

“hey vickky” i greeted her in a polite way.

“what your problem uh no tell me, did i ask you to greet me or talk to me?; Look here i did not follow you so we can make friends oh, i followed you to see if you have a boy friend, you hear me; stupid thing” vickky said….

” i was speechless and shocked at the same time with what was coming out from her mouth.

We got to where we are going and bought the creates of egg as demanded by my step-mum,

on our way back, we have almost gotten half way to the house when a young handsome and good looking guy sighted us from far and started waving hand to our direction but i ignored him and keep moving, the boy ran and came to us and greeted; “hello am ben i stay down the street what about you?” he said as he catch up with us and started walking with us.

” my name is victoria you can call me vickky”; victoria said as she stretched her hand to have hand shake with ben,

“sorry i wasn’t talking to you, am talking to her” ben said ignoring the hand shake,

This make victoria felt bad and angry then she look at me with a devilish eye as she stopped a bike and went home, well i knew what she meant , my heart begin to pound faster i was scared of what am about to face at home.

“hello ooo” ben called to get my attention.

“leave me alone i don’t talk to stranger” i said to him as i ran as fast as i can to get home.

“where is amanda” my step-mum asked vickky with a anger,

“chaiii” vickky said as she jam her two palms three times and continue talking; “so you’ve not heard that she had a boyfriend, well to cut the story shot i left her and her boyfriend because i was tired waiting for her”; vickky lied,

Due to my running i mistakenly dash my feet on stone and all the two create of egg fell down and broke into pieces.
