Bloody Lips

Episode 25

Alexandra pov :

“I … I am.. I am a vampire.” He says.

I laugh at him. Yeah I’m spiderman. No, I am spiderwoman.

Never have I ever had thought that he would say something like this. I was hoping maybe he would laugh at me and say ‘Gotcha, it was just a prank.’ but he didn’t say that and looks at me with seriousness. 4

And these bruises and cuts aren’t any prank ,I thought.

But still, I confirm.

“You are joking,right? ” My laughing subsides when I see his serious eyes. 1

Okay…

He is not joking…

I can figure it out from the seriousness of his eyes and face that he is not. And those black eyes and canines are the proof of this.

He is vampire..He is a vampire.

A vampire.

I feel numb. It feels like my body is in shut down mood. My mind can’t comprehend what I’m listening. 2

I open my mouth and close it many times,trying to form words but nothing came out.

“What?How? When? ” 20

He looks at me with amused eyes but they change almost hurriedly into concern. 2

“Just calm down and sit. I will tell you everything. Please. “

Calm down? How can I calm down knowing my ex boyfriend who had left me few years ago, is back and now has become my boyfriend again and declaring he is a vampire? 32

My head starts spinning. Tell me this is all a lie. Does vampire even exist? 37

He looks at me, anxiously as I sway slightly.

“Easy there. Please.” His voice soft and full of concern.

I move towards the bed, slowly,keeping my eyes on him, watching him warily like he will jump on me any moment.

He won’t hurt you.

I nod, mentally.

I settle down on the bed , slowly but jump slightly when he starts pacing the room. 4

Rubbing his hands on his face in frustration. Pulling his hairs in irritation. 7

It looks like he is in a war with himself. His eyes working, looking here and there like thinking.

Few minutes passed by .

Then,he stops abruptly and opens his mouth to say something but close it again. A heavy sigh leaves his mouth as he slumps down on the edge of the bed,his back facing me looking straight ahead in the wall like it is the most interesting thing in the world. 4

“We.. vampires exist,i know this must the first question you must be wondering. So yeah,they exist.” 23

He pauses as expecting me to say something but I just don’t know what to say so he continues,

“We walk around humans normally like other humans. We talk to them , sit with them,eat with them even though we don’t need to eat. ” He whispers, lowly, the last part and chuckles so I wouldn’t hear but I do. 3

He tells everything slowly like trying to make a kid, understand something. 6

“We mostly keep to ourselves and don’t mingle around with human much only when needed. My parents. Maria Knight,my mother and Joseph Knight,my father….” He trails off and I notice the sad tone that his voice takes. 6

“My parents were the King and Queen of our.. our territory.. like the leader of all the vampires. And now when they are gone. I am the one who took up my father’s place. ” He looks over his shoulder at me with worried eyes.

What should I do? I run my brain for some reaction. Should I run? Should I stay put? What the hell should I do? 35

Ask him questions. Yes.

“Are you like those vampires,we have heard in books and movies?Like the twilight thing? ” I blurt out the first question that I can think of. 117

His lips twitch. Just slightly twitch before he replies with a frown.

“No. We are not like that.” 69

“Look Alexandra. I will tell you and answer all of your questions. Just remember I won’t hurt you. Ever. I can’t and I’ll be damned if I let anyone hurt you. I will do anything to protect,to keep you safe. ” He turns his body towards me with a pleading look in his eyes.

Then suddenly all the pieces fit together and my eyes widen in realization. 1

He, coming to my room without any evidence. He , coming to Emma’s house. Her cat. That note on her wall. Her words ‘he is a monster’. Monster. Those black eyes and long teeth. His speed. Him,being cold. His weird behavior in college. He, knowing everything where I am.

I gasp as every puzzle solved one by one. Everything fits into place which always left me confused and he never telling me anything.

“I guess,you remember everything now.” He says, softly. His voice like a melody in the silent room. 4

“Are you from the start? I mean ,vampire? ” The word sounds foreign on my tongue. It is almost a laughable if anyone heard what we are talking about. 2

“Yes, I am. I am born vampire. But vampires when they are kids grow up like a normal human kid but once they turn 5 years old,they start showing the signs. But those with royal bloodline. Royal bloodline of Being King,shows signs when they turn the age of 3. So yeah.” He completes his sentence , awkwardly as talking about being vampire is not usual for him. 16

Of course it is not. What do you want from him? To flaunt over the world that he is a vampire? I shake my head ,mentally , at myself . 3

I nod my head in understanding but honestly I am far from understanding anything now.

“I know it’s too much for you to take in,right now. Why don’t you take rest and sleep for a while? ” He suggests, softly while standing up. 3

Sleep. Yes. It’s the best thing. I still remember when I was young and I was stressed or in trouble ,I choose the easy way and that way is sleeping. 30

“Yes I think,i should sleep.” My voice,scratchy. He looks at me with blank face,hands in his pants pocket.

“Are you going to stand here? “I ask in a whisper. 6

“If you want to.” He replied back immediately. 6

Slowly,I start to lay down until my head hit the pillow. 1

“I think you should go and take some rest.” I suggest with uncertainty.

“I’m fine,Lexi. ” The way he says Lexi,makes me shiver in a good way. 5

Pull yourself together. 5

I nod my head but I freeze when he starts to move towards me. Run. No,he won’t hurt me,right? 4

He stands infront of my face but keeps a distance from me but then he leans down and my breath stucks in my throat,I clench my fists at my side.

He leans down and kisses my forehead, lightly but lingers there for a few seconds. And with that kiss ,I feel myself , melting and relaxing,I almost sigh but stop myself before it.

He pulls back with a twinkle in his eyes.

“I will wait for you when you wake up . ” I humm in response. 6

“I love you, Alexandra.” He whispers but doesn’t wait for my response and move out of the room,closing the door behind him. 3

I look at the door then my eyes dart towards the ceiling. In the silence of the room, everything becomes clear like a water.

He is a vampire. But who are those people who attack us? 4

Mate. They said the word ‘mate’ and if I am not wrong , I know what mate is used for in supernatural world. 29

My head starts to pound again and I wince.

He is a vampire. And I love a vampire. 78

“Xander!!” I yell his name, looking around myself. Empty. Everything is empty. But dark.

Where am I?

I look down at myself . I am wearing white knee length sundress.

“Xander!!” I yell his name again as I feel tears in my eyes.

Where am I? I feel suffocation at this empty and dark place.

“I am here ,Lexi ” I hear his voice from behind me and I turn around with a smile.

He is here. He won’t leave me.

But my smile falters when I turn around to find him no where.

“Xander!”I whimper.

“Come here.I am here, love” I hear his voice from far but I run towards his voice.

I stop and call for him again.

No where. 5

He is no where.

“Please,don’t leave me alone.” I whimper,again as a single tear falls down .

“I won’t.” He says from behind me and then I feel his hands on my waist.

He is here .

Joyfully ,I turn around and look at him.

My Xander. There he is.

Still handsome like always. His eyes twinkle with love when he looks at me and he gives me a loving smile which makes my knees,weak.

“You are here.” I whisper as I put my hands on his chest.

“I’m always here where you are. ” He replies in his melodic and deep voice.

He leans down and kisses my cheek before he trails his kisses down to my throat and to my neck.

Open mouthed ,kisses.

I moan as he sucks at my flesh hungrily. I fist clench in his white shirt.

“I love you, Alexandra.” His whispers against my skin.

“I love you too,Xander.” He humms.

“I won’t hurt you. ” I smile at his words but my smile turns into frown when his teeth graze my skin and too hardly.

“Xander.”I say in panick as I try to pull away but his holds tighten.

Then he pulls his head back and looks at me. My eyes widen in horror as I see his black eyes and long teeth.

“Ssshh.” He says before he sinks his teeth in my neck ,making me scream.

I look down at my white dress to see a trail of blood. And then-

I jerk awake in the bed, panting heavily. Sweats beading in my forehead. It feels like I have run a marathon. My heart beat frantic.

I put a hand on my neck. Bandage. It is still bandaged

Okay that was just a dream. A stupid dream.

Yes. Just a dream. I try to calm my racing heart as I stand up and move towards the bathroom.

After I did my business ,I look at myself in the mirror. Instantly, I cringe ,I look like a mess. I sigh while I run my hands through my hair. 8

I grab the sink corners and close my eyes.

What should I do? That dream. What if he hurt me? But he had never hurt me before.. not physically. He won’t hurt me. 2

But he is a vampire. What if he does if he gets angry or something? He always has a bad temper.

I open my eyes and look at myself. I don’t know what to do. But I sure as hell ,not going to stay here.

Not right now though. I want to go home.

I move out of the room and down the stairs while looking around for him. It’s better if he doesn’t see me.

I was about to put a foot outside the house when-

“Where are you going?” His voice booms behind me. 7

I shut my eyes tight before turning around to face him. With a sigh,I open my eyes.

“Home.” I reply. And then his eyes turn frantic then anger swirl in them.

“What?” He breathes out.

“I’m going home. “

“No!!” He says all but demands.

“I want to go home,please. ” 17

One second he was standing near the staircase and the other second,he is standing in front of me. Startled,I stumble back and was about to fall when his arm snakes around me to steady me.

His arm around me ,makes my heart, go in overdrive.

He can move fast. Another thing that proves that he is not human.

“You can’t leave me. How many times I have to tell you that? I won’t and never allow that.” He grits out. I feel a sudden layer of fear and I gulp .

Pulling my lips between my teeth I nod ,shakingly.

He sighs before cupping my face with his other cold hand.

“Don’t be scared. “

“Okay.” I whisper back.

“Come. Let’s eat something. “

Eat something? What does he eat ?I don’t want to think about it.

He pulls my chair back and helps me in before going and settling in his own.

Food is served by the maids and then I realize how hungry I am. As my plate got filled,I dug in.

Xander just watches me , intensely. Twirling a glass of wine in his hand, swirling it’s content. His eyes darting between me then his glass. 51

“What do you…. eat?” I ask him after sometime. I look up at him, hesitantly.

He becomes stiff at my question, a slight pause of the glass then its twirling starts again.

“Uh. You really want to know?”

I shrug my shoulders.

“I…. I drink blood. “He says ‘blood’ in a whisper. I suck in a sharp breath. 2

“Blood?” I yelp looking at my food with wide eyes,all appetite gone.

“Whose blood?” I ask hoping he doesn’t kill people and drinks from them.

“Blood bank.” He replies in a matter of fact tone before continuing with a smirk,

“You know I don’t want diseased blood in my body so yeah precautions.” He says in a playful manner and I choke on my saliva.

He laughs,loudly earning a gasp from the maid who is taking the plates from the table. In shock, she drops the plate on the floor.

Xander stops laughing before his eyes set on her. He glares at her making her cower in fear, I furrowed my eyebrows.

“Xander.”I whisper. His eyes snap towards me before they softens . He gives one last glance at her before looks at me again with a smile.

“Let’s talk somewhere else.” He says causally before standing and taking my hand. 8

I follow him to the backyard as I realize he is taking me on the same bench where I have given him a second chance. 3

Second chance but he still lies to me about everything. 35

I halt in my step and pull my hand away from him. He turns around and looks at me with furrowed eyebrows and worry in his eyes.

“What happened?” He asks.

“You.” I whisper and look around anywhere but at him.

“What do you mean?” He says and takes a step towards me and I take a step back making him pause. 1

It feel like deja vu. 6

“You lied. You lied about everything. ” He sighs. 62

“I have to.” 1

“No, you don’t have to. From the start,we were nothing but a lie. ” 26

“Don’t say that.” He whispers ,brokenly. 10

“But it is the truth.” I reply back.

“Truth? If I had told you what would you had done?Run to me with open arms? No, you would run away …. Run away from me. I am a monster. And no one want a monster. ” He says , angrily while running a hand through his hairs making his muscles on his arms clench and unclench. 50

How will they feel when I grab them and he will be- 41

“Don’t look at me like that.” My eyes snap towards his . He looks at me with strange emotions. 5

“Look at you like what? “I reply .

“Like you want me.. here and now…” He says through clenched teeth with dark eyes. 80

“I.. I..” I stutter. SH*t… 16

“Because believe me I want you here and now. ” He whispers leaning down toward me. 13

His lips make contact with my cheeks. My arms lay limply at my sides. I can’t push him away. My body takes over my mind as he trails kisses to my ear.

“Who are those people?” I blurt out to distract him. He pulls back before turning around and moving towards the bench before motioning me towards his chin. 14

I follow him with hesitant step but I want answers. I need answers. But still I’m hoping someone wakes me up and tells me this is all a lie.

But looking at him,his beautiful face and his deep eyes. I know it is not a lie.

He is still the same Xander,I had known. Different but still the same.
