. Few days after fank lost his job, he got another

one in a church where he had gone to take

refuge. the church employed him as an office

clerk nd also offered him accommodation there.

His salary was much more attractive than wot he

was earning as a gateman so he easily forgot his

ordeal in Otunba’s hous.

. Two years later, on a faithful monday morning.

he went to drop some files in d church wen he

ran into Chidi,Otunba’s personal driver in d

church.He was surprised to see chidi.

Frank:wot are u doing here?he asked chidi.

Chidi:I came for a crusade, “Chidi responded.

Frank:hmmm….

Chidi:wot abt u, did u also come for d crusade?

he asked while frank shook his head.

Frank:I work here.I’m the clerk of d church”.

they shook hands.chidi looked at him closely nd

nodded.

Chidi:wow!! old boy, u have changed.”he said

while Frank smiled nd thanked him for his

compliments.

Frank:tanks man.he replied.

Chidi:I heard wot happened to u at Otunba’s

house;it’s a pity.am sorry abt dat.he said nd

frank smiled faintly.

Frank:It’s one of those horrible experience one

pass through in life but i have got over it.wen

one door closes, better ones are opened up.he

replied him.

Frank paused nd regarded him for a while

before asking him whether he still worked for

Otunba douglas.he nodded.

Frank:wot abt Oyin”He enquired.

Chidi:She’s now in d university, “chidi replied.

Frank:Which of them? he asked.

Chidi:University of lagos.”he said as they talked

for a while then parted different ways.

Frank had never been to d university of lagos.he

had no business dia bt he made it a point of

duty to go dia whenever his free wit d hope of

meeting Oyin nd thanking her for her kindness

towards him.

For a month, he visited d campus, but did not

see her, he went back feeling disappointed but

he never gave up.

. One day, he ran into her at a relaxation park

in d school beside the lagoon.he tried to call her

bt she only ignored nd hissed the moment she

saw him coming.

OYIN:I didn’t know u were as stupid as a he goat,

“she yelled.

Frank:pls oyin, hear me out.

Oyin:wot did u tell dat stupid dirty old gardenener?

he asked fumming.

Frank:I told him nothing.

Oyin:u can’t be serious, she said nd made to walk

away.
