Episode 32

“Paul? Joshua’s dad?”,was the first question Liza asked with a voice that registered anger
“Yes,the same Paul”,Tiara answered still maintaining that smile and still looking at Fiona
“My God,” Liza exclaimed “Why didn’t you tell us this?”
“I wanted Fiona to have a happily married life with the son of the man who murdered dad”,Tiara turned to Fiona “I did the right thing not telling you,right, cause it would have ruined your wedding plans with the man of your dreams”
“This can’t be true”,was all Fiona could say
“Are you trying to say Tiara is lying?”,Liza exploded “Your lover’s father killed dad and here you are saying Tiara is lying!”
“All I’m saying is that it wouldn’t hurt for her to show us some proof”
“What do you mean proof!? Paul killed dad!,Joshua’s father. For all I know, Joshua might have a hand in it and you might have known!”
“Will you shut your mouth! Joshua had nothing to do with this…. nothing!”,Fiona shouted at the top of her voice -without thinking
“I thought you said you had nothing to do with Joshua, that you’ve broken up with him”,Tiara’s cold and calm voice said.
“Yes. I have ended my relationship with him”
“Can you please explain to us why you’re defending him?”
“I am not defending him, Tiara. I just need some proof”
“Okay, dad told me”
“When? because I was there too,remember?”
“No,you weren’t. Dad sent you out to get some water for him,remember?”
Fiona fell silent

“They killed dad. Paul and his son killed dad”,Liza said looking at Fiona
“Elizabeth, I said shut the hell up!. I told you Joshua had nothing to do with anything!”
“That doesn’t concern me. You tell your boyfriend that I am coming for him”,Liza said as she walked out.

Fiona looked at Liza’s retreating back,only then did she understand what Tiara had done.
Tiara had named Paul as the killer to keep her at an edge.
Things weren’t alright. She had underestimated Tiara which had been her first mistake.
If only she could make Liza believe that Joshua had nothing to do in their father’s death- maybe Paul had nothing to do with their father’s death.

She turned around to have a look at Tiara and all she saw was that satisfying smile Tiara had been wearing ever since she named Paul Green as their father’s killer- that smile disgusts her.
Tiara had won,she thought to herself as placed a hand on her forehead. Just then,Liza walked into the sitting room like someone in search of something.
Fiona walked up to Tiara “Tell her. Tell her Joshua’s innocent”
“You know, you’re right”,Tiara said
“Right about what?”,Fiona asked, disgusted
“I don’t trust you,why are you back?”
“I thought we’ve settled that, I am back to take on daddy’s last wish”
“If that’s the case,get rid of that thing growing inside your stomach. Michaels and Green don’t come together”,Tiara looked Fiona in the eye, the smile gone, she continued “So,what do you say?”

“Tiara,this baby is a Michaels”
“And has the bloodline of a Green”,Liza said
“You’re in with her on this?”,Fiona asked, surprised
“I am in with Tiara on anything”
“Getting rid of that thing wouldn’t be a problem since Joshua and you are no more”,Tiara said.

Fiona realized fully that she made mistakes one too many times. The first was; underestimating Tiara. The second; was not drafting out a well la!d plan. The third; was defending Joshua when she had told them she had ended ended their relationship. The fourth; was arguing to get rid of her baby.

She sighed “Okay Tiara,this is a big decision and I need time to think about it”,Tiara pleaded
Tiara understood what Fiona was trying to do. She was to waste time until her mind was off it and then,she would strike, she would get what she came for and the problem was she hasn’t figure out what Fiona came back for.

“There is absolutely nothing for you to think about. What were you even thinking, making a baby with Joshua Green!”,Liza’s voice took a high tone
“Liza…..”,Tiara cautioned
“I’m sorry,Tia”,Liza apologized- not to Fiona but to Tiara
“Think about it all you want but you’re aborting that thing”,Tiara’s voice registered finality.

Tomorrow would be the day for the vote and he hadn’t gotten a word from Patrick or Pedro,whatever the name was.
Could Steve be correct? was Patrick incapable of killing? Why could a man in his line of business find it difficult to kill?
He had to do something or he was sure that daughter of that cursed d!ckson Michaels would push him out of his company.
He picked up his phone and rang Steve
“Steve, I want you in my office now”
“I’ll be there in five minutes, Sir”
“Didn’t you hear what I just said? I want you here now”
Robert dropped the call.

When Steve entered Robert’s office some minutes later, only a glance at Robert told him the problem was Pedro.
“I summoned you about ten minutes ago”
Now,that’s a big lie- Steve thought to himself
“Sir,you called me seven minutes ago, not ten”
“Why has your friend not called me?”
Was he seriously asking him that? What kind of a senseless question did he just ask?- Steve,again,thought to himself
“Sir, I wouldn’t know”
“Do you have someone else who can take care of the threat?”
“Yes Sir,I think I have”
“Good. Put a call through that person. The target is Tiara Michaels and Pedro”,Robert ordered, this time, he made no mistake in the name.
“What!?”,came Steve’s question as shock registered in his facial expression.
