Episode 23

Jessie searched for the message in her phone but couldn’t find it. She was shocked and then it became clear to her that she was set up and it couldn’t be anyone else if not Tasha.

Mr Smith broke the silence ” my son here really loved you and he blindly trusted you. I’m so glad Natasha was here to free him from your bondage and that is why my son Michael will marry her so that she’ll save him from people like you in the future”. He led Michael out by the hand leaving Tasha behind behind. She walked up to Jessie who was heartbroken and said: “Michael had always belonged to me and it was so foolish of you to try separating us now you’ll have to suffer for your actions “. Jessie gave her a hard slap across her face and said :” his love for me is true and I believe it’ll triumph over your evil” . Tasha walked out angrily.
Zack and tiff came back the next day from kaduna. He went to the office to see his pal but when he got there, he didn’t see Jessie so he decided to tease him:” Mike, where’s our wife? I don’t see her anywhere ” and he laughed. Michael kept mute which meant something was amiss so Zack asked him what was wrong and then everything was narrated to him. Zack was shocked. He told Michael:”I thought you loved her Mike?”
” I did ” Michael responded. ” then why did you lose your trust in her that easily? Sometimes what we think to be facts are lies. Did you even give her a chance to explain? Jessie is the only woman you’ve loved like this and I won’t let her slip away from your life”. Michael didn’t even realise when a tear dropped, he finally spoke up after being quiet:” she stole from me bro and I caught her in the act. Why would she be in the office so late with files scattered all over?” Do you think I’m not hurt? I am but I find it difficult to forgive her for betraying my trust in her”. Zack replied:” well, have you checked the office’s cctv footage?”

That was when it crossed Michael’s mind so they both went together check.
