Getting Temptations

Episode 8

“whaaaaaat!”
he screamed out loudly, he couldn’t believe what he heard.

That was too much for him, it came as a blow to him, hitting the most vital part.

His legs failed him and he fell on the ground with a loud thud.

Doctor richard was gobsmacked.
His screams was deafening. It was while he slumped to the ground, that he realized the effects of the sudden news he’d gave him.

Two nurse quickly barged into doctor richard’s office on hearing the screams and the loud thud. They knew something was wrong.

They were surprised, seeing ben on the floor, and doctor richard standing unable to do anything.

One of the nurse ran out and came back with a stretcher.

They carried ben and lay him on it.

They took him to men’s ward.

They layed him on the bed and immediately started work on him.

Doctor richard stood still, fidgeting on what to do.

He’d made a silly mistake of the highest order.

He never made mistakes but this came as a surprise to him as well.
Was it really a mistake?
It was total coincidence.
“oh!. S–t!”
he furiously hit the table with his fist.

He’d forgotten there were two Nancy in the hospital, which he attended to.

The other man’s wife gave up the ghost.
While ben’s wife was still unconscious.

He had been grieving for the loss, he hates to loss people’s life and he rarely losses life.

But it wasn’t his fault.
‘God giveth and taketh’
he knocked himself over and over.

He would have lost another life through false news. He wouldn’t forgive himself, if it happens that he lost another soul.

He was moody, his conscience was judging him.

He walked out to check up on ben.

He opened the door, and walked in.

Ben layed on the bed sleeping peacefully. He felt relieved.

He walked back to the door and took a last look at him.

Ben opened his eyes and he caught a glance of doctor richard, he turned his head sideways to look at him.

He remembered what brought him there.
His wife. But he never needed their service.
He beckoned on him to come.

Doctor richard saw that he was awake.

He knew what he would be thinking, he saw him gestured his head and He walked up to him.

Ben found it hard to speak but eventually did surprising himself.
“where is my wife?”
ben said in a hoarse voice.

It’s seems as though, he’d borrowed doctor richard’s gruffy voice.
“she is fine”
Doctor richard replied in the same hoarse voice.

Ben was surprised, did he just hear him say she’s fine?

A smile wafted across his face.

Doctor richard looked at him with pity. He knew what his wife meant to him. It would be a life stigma if he losses his wife. He might end up with a mental illness.

But her case is extremely critical.
“can i see her?”
Ben asked with a teary face.
“Sure, you can”
Doctor richard said and helped him get up on his feet and they both walked out of the room
