JASMINE

I couldn’t believe the change in my fortune.. First I was heading home back to my father and now here I am together with some stinky man looking gigantic monsters whom had kept me close by where they could see me, i couldn’t escape if I wanted to and even if I did, it would be of no use because I had nothing to keep me alive out there in the desert.

I couldn’t believe I was the only lone survivor, The men who had promised to take me home were all dead and as for Sadiq… Oh what have I done? The poor soul too is dead, Seeing his lifeless body close to the horses made me feel guilty for what I put him through.

Of course I was angry at him for what he said and i knew he was sorry but I wanted to make him feel hurt as well.. But what I did was brutal, He was my only chance of getting home and now he’s out there in the desert sand laying down dead.

I cried of course cursing myself and regretting what I did.. But crying wouldn’t save me.. Not from this cannibalized creatures whom were busy enjoying themselves with human flesh, I heard those terrifying crunching sounds as they crushed bones in their stinky mouths, I couldn’t bare to watch this savagery…

And when they’re not eating, They start to fight unnecessarily among themselves, sometimes they shout and howl into the night as if they were communicating with some one.. Listening to this deafening and awful sounds made me feel uncomfortable.

I didn’t know how long I was here, cause the cave was always dark.. The creatures gave me food, and water but I couldn’t digest any of things into my stomach, not after seeing human remains everywhere, so eating food in this damned cave would make me throw up..

As if that wasn’t enough to make one crazy, There was a strong stench of black oil in the cave, the substance pops out from the ground and these Monsters sometimes used it to bath or use it to make fire sometimes to roast the human flesh they eat.. I was getting weak, and tired, I just wished I could just die.. Being unable to eat, sleep or do practically anything is just as good as being dead… As I lay quietly in my cave prison, I realized the creatures were asleep inside their pool of oil, I saw a knife close to them, I reach out and grabbed the knife and stabbed one with it.. But to my surprise, it couldn’t penetrate.. In fact the knife broke and the creature whom I stabbed barely stirred from his sleep.

Giving up all hope, I went back to my place and lay down.. I started crying in that moment.. I kicked my feet high in the air in frustration, cursing my cruel fate.. In that moment, I prayed silently for the gods to get me out of her.. Even if I’m going to die, at least let me get away from this stinky creatures..

In that moment, Everything became quiet, I turned around facing looking at the top of the cave.. As I was staring absentmindedly up wards, I saw something or rather someone, up above, I sat up instantly looking up to see who was it.. In that moment, an arrow covered in fire flew straight into one of the creature’s mouth, The creature jumped up in that moment, shouting in pain as he jumped around, His companions woke up to see what was going on, seeing their comrade with an arrow in his mouth, The creatures raged and grabbed their weapons searching the cave for the intruder, but before they could get far, an flame arrow was fired and it landed inside the pool of oil, Before we could all react, the pool exploded into huge pit of fire, the impact of the explosion was so powerful that it stunned and knocked me out, I lay helpless on the ground unable to move, my visions were blurry and my head was dizzy, Before long, I drifted into a void of total darkness.

I didn’t know how long I was unconscious but I was awaken by a ray of sunlight, I sat up looking dazed, it took me a while to regain my senses, After that, I looked around and saw I was in an open place, I was still in the desert but this place was different, There were trees and a little pool of clean fresh water.. I stood up and rushed at the pool, I plunged into it drinking the water uncontrollably.. I drank, drank and drank more of this cool refreshing water, I had to wash my body with it, to clean of the stinky stench that hung around my body, After that, I went back to where I was and I saw a pile of lovely ripped dates and a piece of roasted meat, I gobbled them up without wasting any time.. It wasn’t much to sustain my hunger but it was better than nothing, After that, I laid down on the soft sand laughing and smiling.. Finally I was free from those ugly creatures.. As I looked up at the trees, I saw a man on top staring down at me, I quickly got up to see the man clearly and to my surprise, it was Sadiq.

I couldn’t believe it.. I thought he was dead, I had to pinch myself to realize if this was a dream.. Maybe I was in paradise. Sadiq starred at me without saying anything but after a while, he spoke.

Sadiq I hope you’ve had your fill..

Jasmine How long were you up there? Did you see me bath?

Sadiq Does it matter?

.

Jasmine How did I get here? I thought you were dead?

.

Sadiq I’m not dead.. As you can see.. And as for how we got here.. Well I saved your life.

.

Jasmine You!? Saved my life? But how…..

.

In that moment, my memories came back to me.. I remembered everything that happened back in the cave, so he was the one that fired that arrow.. I couldn’t believe it..

.

Jasmine So what about the monsters? How did you….

.

Sadiq I killed them.. Their skin is impossible to penetrate but their mouth however.. That’s their weakness.

Jasmine Oh.. Uhm.. Thank you for..

.

Sadiq Save it.. Get into the tent, there’s a sandstorm coming.

.

And true to his words, there was a huge sandstorm coming.. Soon, he and I bought both entered the tent, it wasn’t enough to contain us but we had to manage..

As we were sheltering ourselves from the sand storm, Sadiq said nothing to me, in fact he ignored me completely.. I on the other hand wanted to apologize to him for what I did.. I felt so guilty and ashamed for what I did to him.. To think he would risk his life to save me from those abominable creatures.. If it were someone he would have left me to die in that cave but he didn’t.. He came for me and I know he’s hurt about what I did. I just couldn’t sit still and do nothing.. I have to apologize..

It took some time and some courage to face him in the face and apologize to him.

Jasmine Uhm.. Sadiq?

.

Sadiq Yes? What is it?

.

Jasmine I Uhm.. waned to apologize to you for what I did.. I’m sorry.. I truly am..

.

Sadiq Enough jasmine.. That’s enough.. I’m sure you had humiliated enough to your satisfaction but just to let you know I’m not angry at you.

Jasmine No! No! I….

.

I didn’t know when I started crying.. Sadiq flinched as he heard me crying.. He turned around and looked at me in surprise wondering why I was crying.

Sadiq What’s the meaning of this?

.

Jasmine (sobs) I.. I.. I’m sorry.. I know you’re angry even if you won’t admit it.. I’m sorry I treated you that way.. I just wanted you to feel.. (cries)

.

Sadiq Oh… Look, jasmine there’s no need for you to cry… I already told you I’m not angry at you .

.

Jasmine are you serious?

.

Sadiq Yes.. Now go to sleep.. The storm is going to last a night..

Jasmine thank you.. And thank you for saving me.. That was brave of you..

.

Sadiq Sheesh! Alright go to sleep.

.

Jasmine But how? There isn’t enough space for us to sleep….

Sadiq Just manage..

Sadiq cuddled himself and covered himself with his cloak, I sat down looking down at him, wondering how he’s managing to sleep in this tight space, After a while, I got tired and it was getting a bit cold around us.. So I cuddled up to Sadiq and lay tightly next to him.. Sensing this, He woke up and asked what was happening.

Sadiq What are you trying to do?

Jasmine I’m feeling at bit cold.. Can I share your cloak with you?

Sadiq stared at me for a while before agreeing to share with the cloak with me, soon we cuddled up to each other and the best was, we were so close we could each other’s breath, I moved closer to him and hugged him, Sadiq was surprised by this but he said nothing.. Afterwards, I wrapped my legs around him holding him closer towards me, Sadiq stared at me as I did that, we both stared at each other without saying anything but them something happened..I started feeling some kind of strange feeling in me , my body was suddenly aroused, In that moment, Both Sadiq and I began to kiss one another slowly and softly..
