LINDA

I’ve seen tenacious and stubborn men but none of them is as tenacious and stubborn as Tony… Despite turning him down several times, Tony still came after me like a magnet… Not only did he came after me but he also bombarded me with gifts.. I really don’t want them and i wanted to return them but Regina wouldn’t allow me to.. Instead she used the gift for herself, she always says this annoying words if I refused Tony’s gifts.

This continued to go on for days and I was getting tired of it… Tony surprised me by showing up at my place of work… I was surprised, I couldn’t believe he’d show up and how did he know I worked here… In that moment, I knew it was Regina that told him. Tony tried all he could to get my attention but I ignored him instead I made him feel a little jealous by flirting with the male customers around.. Eventually I got to Tony’s place and things didn’t turn out well for him…

For days, Tony’s words rang into my ears, “please Linda.. I want to talk…. Please Linda give me a chance…. I couldn’t concentrate thinking about those words… As much as I want to listen to what he has to say I can’t do that… I mean come on.. This is Tony, I’m talking about, a play boy and a smooth talker.. I know if I allowed him to say something to me, he would easily convince me and make me fall for him.. And I don’t want that.. I don’t even know whether he loves me as he say he does… Men are unpredictable and chronic liars.. They can do and undo…

One Saturday afternoon, I was at home with Regina doing nothing as usual, as we were inside the room, Regina started talking about Tony.

Regina ➡ Linda… Why are you keeping Tony off bay now?

Regina ➡ I said why are you pushing Tony away?

Linda ➡ Regina, I think you know the answer… Tony and I are done.

Regina ➡ Haba Linda…. Why? Okay the guy made a stupid mistake but that was once.. Give him a chance.. Everyone deserves a chance..

Linda ➡ Look, I can’t okay.. You know who Tony is… He can easily convince me and make me fall for him, besides I’m not sure if he loves me like he claims he does…

Regina ➡ Come on. Linda… I know you’re not blind… Can’t you see how the man looks because of you… I can’t prove it but he’s sincere about what he says.. The guy loves you… Just give him a chance… Babe you need someone to look after you… We can’t be staying like this forever, sooner or later, I’ll get married and I can’t leave you here staying alone.

After wearing something decent and casual, I left to the house and went to the shop.. As I was on my way there, I saw a lady struggling to pack her stuffs into the bag.. I then decided to help her since nobody else would..

Lady ➡ Ahh.. My things o..

Linda ➡ Here, let me help you.

Lady ➡ Thank you..

As I was helping her, The lady pricked me with a tiny needle and it hurt.. I looked at her wondering why she had done that, before I could confront her, I felt weak and dizzy all over and my body had became numb, shortly after that I slumped to the ground and passed out.

A while later, I was awoken by cold water which was splashed on me.. I woke up abruptly looking confused and agitated, After a while, I realized that my hands were being tied upward by a rope which was hanging on the ceiling of the building, I noticed the room, I was in was empty, as I looked around, I saw Tony too right in front of me.. He was tied as well and he was unconscious.. Then Suddenly someone came into the room with a bucket of water and splashed it on Tony, who also woke up shortly after that… Tony was surprised when he saw me as well.

Tony ➡ Linda!! Are you alright? What’s going on?

Linda ➡ I don’t know… I just found myself here.. I can’t exactly remember what happened.

Tony ➡ Me too..Argghhhh…

Linda ➡ What’s wrong?

Tony ➡ My abdomen it hurts.. Jesus.. But I can manage.

Linda ➡ Jesus.. Are you sure? You need help.

In that moment, we heard mean laughter that sent chills down our spines.. Out of the shadows appeared what seems to be like a lay in a mask.. She came between us laughing and clapping.. Tony and I stared at her intently, wondering who the person is.

Masked Lady ➡ Awwn.. Isn’t it cute? You guys are so lovely together.

Tony ➡ Lady who are you?

Masked lady ➡ Well, I’m the person who’s going to make you guys make a decision that will alter your lives forever…

Tony ➡ I bet you’re responsible for this… Do you know who I am? Anything happens to me you’re dead.. And don’t you dare lay a finger on Linda.. Whatever it is.. She’s not part of it..

Masked lady ➡ Wow.. I must say you two are quite something.. Tony I already know who you are… Movie, billionaire, philanthropist and also a former playboy, the heart break kid.. And Linda, the lovely, and bewitching simpleton and a devoted christian and also a former prostitute. Yes.. I know you both.. The lady clapper her hands and then the door opened, two hefty men dragged in a man who was weak to stand on his knees, his face was covered but from his appearance he was sure roughed up, the men tie the man and then gave the lady a gun, which she collected. The men left the room leaving us alone with the lady.

Masked lady ➡ As I was saying.. Here’s how we’re going to do it… We’re going to play a game, a very simple one.. All you have to do is give up something in order to get something… Tony I’m starting with you… You love Linda right?

Tony ➡ Of course I do.

Masked lady ➡ And you’re willing to anything to get her back, isn’t it?

The lady brought a document and a pen and placed it in front of Tony.. She shot the rope which held Tony allowing him to get control of his hands but his hands were still tied.. Tony looked at the document and then at that lady looking astonished and surprised.

Tony ➡ Where did you get this?

Masked lady ➡ It doesn’t matter.. Now sign that document in my name, and put your signature on it allowing me to own everything you have, your company, your estates, everything you own will be mine.. Except your house, you can keep it.. But everything else will be mine.

Tony ➡ And why would I do that? You’re insane..

Masked lady ➡ Because if you don’t. I’ll kill your Linda here.

I couldn’t believe when she told Tony that, he clicked the gun and approached me pointing the gun to my head.. I was scared when I felt the cold Stella touch my head.. Tony looked terrified ? he couldn’t believe what he saw.

Tony ➡ You.. You can’t be serious!

Masked lady ➡ Am I? .. You have 10 seconds romeo.. You said you love her right? Sign the document or I’LL PULL THE TRIGGER, ONE… TWO… THREE..

I couldn’t believe when I saw Tony signing the document, after he was done, he gave the masked lady the document, she collected it and laughed at his face.

Masked lady ➡ Oh, you poor fool… Look at what have has made you do! Sacrificing everything you have over her.. Is she really worth it?

Masked lady ➡ (laughs) Watch your mouth you dog.

I felt guilty when I saw that, she used Tony’s love for me to strip him of everything he owns.. I couldn’t believe he did that for me.

After that, the lady shot the rope that held me, and stood close to me.. She handed me a knife and went behind Tony pointing her gun behind his head.

Masked lady ➡ As for you, Linda.. Here’s where you’re going to prove 2 things.. The first one which is you’re devoted christian as you claim to be and second that you really don’t love Tony anymore. That make kneeling down there was the man responsible for your brother’s death.. This bastard crushed him to death like a tomato.. He mercilessly battered your brother’s body and he took off like a coward and didn’t stay.. Your brother died like a dog on the streets..

Masked lady ➡ Really? Doesn’t it surprise you that I know everything about you.. Huh? Well, as I was saying this man here is responsible for your brother’s terrible demise.. Linda you have two options..

A,, kill the man that wickedly ended your brother’s meek life, and still Tony dies, after all you don’t love him anymore.. You get revenge and tony doesn’t bother you anymore and also you get half of Tony’s wealth to start a new life.

B,,, Let the man that killed your brother go and and let Tony live, showing that you still care for him. And you may end up with your poor shell of a boyfriend who has nothing to spoil you with.. So which one is it?
