I went to where Alex was, “mom!” he called and hugged me.

I bend down and hugged him back.

“I miss you” I said after pulling away from the hug.

I seated nervously, facing the person before me. Dave’s mom, it is obvious the reason she is here, but this time I won’t back out easily.

“Am sure we haven’t talked before but that doesn’t matter.”

“Am going to go straight to the point, am sure you are a girl from a disciplined home, and it is not proper, I mean it is just too stupid for you to date two friends.”

“Let say one was really stupid which is my son, but still how could you? It is really annoying.”

“Am sorry if it sounds like an insult, I heard from Dave that you two are planning to get married.”

“Am sorry to say but that is not possible. I can’t allow my son to marry a slu…. I mean someone like you. I can’t even imagine my son starting a family with you” she said.

“Why?” She asked. “You might not know but Dave and I have already started a family” I said. “The boy you saw earlier is Dave’s son and also mine” I said while she opened her mouth shocked.

“I hope you will accept us, you already have a grandchild” I said.

“What is going on?” Dave asked as he entered and we both looked up at him.

“Do you have to go this far?” He said to his mom.

“It is not what you think” I said and stood up.

“So has she given you the right answer you want? that she isn’t getting married to me, has she?!” He shout.

“Dave!” I called.

“Even if she does, I won’t allow her” his mom said.

“What?” Both me and Dave asked.

“I already have a grandchild and I didn’t notice which is disappointing but, I don’t want my grandchild to grow up without his parents” she said.

“Can I see him?” She asked referring to Alex.

“No, we haven’t told him that Dave is his father” I said.

“Yes” Dave said.

“Even if it’s from a distance, please” she said.

“Ok” I said and lead her to his room, where he was playing with a maid on with his toys.

“He looks just like you” she said to Dave.

“I can’t believe I didn’t even recognize my grandchild” she said as her voice breaks.

“You have raised him well, am grateful for that” She said.

“Thanks so much” Dave said and hugged her.

“I’ll get going now” she pecked Dave and leaves.

“So what is your answer? You don’t have to worry about my family anymore so what is it going to be?” He asked.
