Debbie POV

Life has been unbearable for me and my family, unlike many other families, everyday was a struggle for us. Nobody to rely on, we just kept struggling.

Dave went to where his friends were, “who is she?” One of his friends asked.

“A new prey but she got away” he said and they all laughed.

Few weeks later:

“Debbie, this is the order for table four” my boss said while I collect the tray from her.

I head to table 4, two guys were seated.

“I placed down their order, Here is your order” I said trying to sound polite.

“Thanks” one of them said and looked up.

“You!” we both said and laughed.

“I told you we will surely meet again” he said.

“Yes” I said and smiled.

“So will you give me your name and contact today?” he said making a cute face while Debbie couldn’t resist.

“Ok” she said and smiled.

And so they started dating, even though Dave didn’t have any such feelings toward her, he seems attracted to her but still you can’t never change one’s mind so easily.

Dave POV

It’s been a few months, since I have been dating Debbie, which has never happened to me before, I won’t say I date them.

Get what I want from them, then leave. But it seems different when it comes to Debbie, I know I don’t love her, but I still don’t want to hurt her.

I heard a knock on my door, who could be here when it is raining this bad.

I opened the door and was surprised to see Debbie all wet from the rain.

“What are you doing here?” I asked.

“You told me you were not feeling fine, I have to come” she said.

“But still… just come in” I said seeing the way she was shaking.

“Thanks” she said as she came in.

“How could you not come with your umbrella?” I asked.

“I didn’t know it was going to rain, I was already on my way here” she said shaking.

“You know what, you should change your clothes, come try some of my clothes. I will make some tea” I said.

“Ok” she said and entered my room.

I boiled the water not that hot but warm about to prepare some tea when Debbie came out with my shirt which was exposing her thighs.

I could also see she wasn’t uncomfortable

Due to this, I mistakenly pour some water in my hand.

“Ouch!” I shouted.

“Are you alright?” Debbie asked as she ran to me checking my hand.

“Am not alright” I said. “What?” She asked.

“I can’t concentrate because of you” I said

“Dave!” she called slowly.

“I have to do this” I said and kissed her which she respond back to.

We both know where this is going and am not going to stop. This what I have been waiting for.

The next day

I woke up and found Debbie gone, I saw a letter on the bed.

“Will be back soon” she wrote while I smiled.

Yesterday night was my best night, I look at the sheet stained with blood.

Present:

Debbie POV

“I told you not to let her watch the news,” Dorcas said as she got home.

“Could you believe that bitch denied it, said it was not her” Dorcas said.

“Because it was not her” I said.

“What?” She asked.

“It was not her, I can’t believe he would go this far” I said.

“Who?” Dorcas asked.

“I have to go out” I said and put on my slippers.

“Debbie!” Dorcas called.

“I will be back soon,” I said and boarded a cab.

I got to Dave’s house, the gateman opened the gate for me and I went inside his apartment.

I knocked on his door and he opened the door, I gave him a hot slap as soon as I saw him.

“How could you go that far?” I asked angry.

“If it was for you, I will do anything to have you” he said.

“Do you even love me? you just ruined my life” I said.

“You are right, I don’t know if I love you. Or maybe I want you because of my lust for you. But I want to learn how to love you, I want to fall in love with you. Even if I don’t love you, I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so teach me how to love you because am not going to leave you. I can’t do without you” he said his words which melt my heart.

Whether I like it or not I can’t leave him.

“Am not going to leave you” I said and he hugged me.

I know my feelings for him is going to be my doom but I can’t stay away from him neither can I stop the feelings even if he doesn’t love me.

I know what I feel for him is not lust but love.

I love him.
