Constable: “You have 5minutes to talk to each other. Your time start now”

Queen: “Thank you sir”
HE SAID AND LEFT OUR PRESENCE

Queen: “Amara my sister…how are you doing?”

AMARA STOOD IN FRONT OF ME WITHOUT SAYING A WORD, HER HAIR WERE SCATTERED AND SOME PART OF HER DRESS WERE TORN AS WELL. WAS SHE BEATEN AND DISGRACE BEFORE BEING TAKEN TO THE STATION? OR DID THE POLICE DO THIS TO HER OR WAS SHE BEATEN BY IN INMATES IN THE PRISON…MY MIND WAS JADED WITH THOUGHT WHEN I SIGHTED HER…

Queen: “Amara, talk to me please- you know that we don’t have much time left”

SHE STOOD THERE WITHOUT SAYING A WORD, PERHAPS SHE WAS ASHAMED…

Chidi: “Amara, listen, we are here to bail you out, so please speak up so that we can ascertain the next step to take”

AFTER MY HUSBAND FINISHED SAYING THOSE WORDS, AMARA BURST OUT IN TEARS, I HAD PITY ON HER…POOR GIRL, SHE MUST HAVE BEEN THROUGH A LOT. I QUICKLY WENT OVER TO CONSOLE HER, HER TEARS WERE PIERCING MY INNER SOUL…

Queen: “Its alright Amara, all hope is not lost, we are here for you and we are going to bail you out soon. Here is my husband Chidi, we just got married not quite long. We will definitely get you out okay”

Chidi: “Yes Amara.. We will get you out, but first i want to ask you a question?”

AMARA NODS HER HEAD

Amara: “Okay sir”

Chidi: “Good…when you stole mr magnus money- after you were caught, was everything still intact ?”

Amara: “Yes sir…i only stole his money and nothing else. He now has his money back when i was caught”

Chidi: “Okay…its good that nothing else was taken. I think that will do, i guess i will have to see the DPO so that they can process your bail and get you out of here”

Queen: “Do you think that she will be granted bail today?”

Chidi: “Of course dear…this is Nigeria and anything is possible”

Queen: “Oh may the lord be praise. Do not worry at all Amara, we will definitely bail you out okay. Your siblings are with us, they are in the car”

AMARA WAS SPEECHLESS, BEFORE I KNEW IT, SHE WENT DOWN ON HER KNEES, CRYING AND ASKING FOR MY FORGIVENESS…

Amara: “Please forgive me Queen, am very sorry for all the bad things that i did to you in the past…I rea”
I CUT IN

Queen: “Its okay Amara…look i”
AMARA CUTS IN

Amara: “Hold on please…i, i really did wrong to you, i don’t deserve your forgiveness, i deserve all that is happening to me right now. I treated you like a nobody, i framed you up, i framed you..please, find a place in your heart to forgive me, please forgive me Queen”….SHE CONTINUED CRYING, I WAS TOUCHED, I WANTED TO CRY TOO BUT I HELD MY TEARS…

Queen: “Its okay Amara…look i forgave you long time ago. All that is in the past now. We just have to move on, what matters most is to get you out of here, okay. So please get up”

Amara: “Thank you Queen…you really have a kind heart. May God bless you”

Queen: “And you too dear”
JUST THEN, THE CONSTABLE CAME IN AND INTERRUPTED OUR CONVERSATION

Constable: “Time up…Oya make we dey go now”

Queen: “Its okay Amara…go with him, we will definitely get you out soon okay”

Chidi: “A second please…Please is the DPO in his office?”

Constable: “Yes oga..just take that corner there and you will see his office”

Chidi: “Thank you…Honey, lets go”

Queen: “Amara, we will be back for you okay”

Amara: “Precious, Daniel”
SHE RUN TO HUG THEM AFTER SHE WAS RELEASED FROM PRISON…WE WERE ALREADY OUTSIDE THE POLICE STATION

Amara: “I really missed you guys”…

Daniel: “I thought i will never see you again”

Precious: “Me too”

AMARA WAS ALREADY IN TEARS

Daniel: “Don’t cry Amara, Aunty Queen and her husband are here to help us”

QUEEN AND HER HUSBAND WERE SMILING…IT WAS A WONDERFUL SIGHT…

Queen: “Amara is here now and she will never leave you guys ever again” I SAID, SMILING

Daniel: “Thank you very much Aunty Queen”

Queen: “Its okay Dan my dear. We should get going now. Honey, shall we?”

Chidi: “Of course yes”

Amara: “So that was how i squandered mum’s money, ever since then, its been grace to grace”

Queen: “So mum’s boutique does not exist anymore…So sad but it is not the end of life. My husband and I are planning to leave this country in two days time, but before we go, i want you to take me to where mum was buried so that i can pay my last respect to her”

Amara: “But is that necessary?”

Queen: “Yes…you see, when mum died, i was planning to come over but then something terrible happened to me, that was why i was rude to you on the phone. I was overcome with anger then and i regretted my action. So i felt its necessary i pay her my last respect to her before i leave this country”

Amara: “Okay, i will take you there but tell me, what really happened back then?”

Queen: (HEAVE A SIGH)…”I was raped”

Amara: “Raped? How? Why? SHE WAS SHOCKED

Queen: “It’s a long story dear but i will tell you everything”

Amara: “Okay…am listening”

THE NEXT DAY…

AMARA, QUEEN AND CHIDI WENT TO THE GRAVEYARD OF WHERE AMARA’S MOTHER WAS BURIED LEAVING THE SIBLINGS AT HOME…

Amara: “This is the place…this is where mummy was buried”

Queen: (HEAVE A SIGH)…”Can i have a moment with her please?” I SAID TO CHIDI AND AMARA

Chidi: “Alright dear…we will be waiting for you outside”

Queen: “Alright…thank you”

THEY LEFT MY PRESENCE AND I WAS ALL ALONE…

QUEEN KNELT DOWN BESIDE AUNTY GRACE GRAVE, SHE STARTED CRYING AND THEN SAID THE FOLLOWING!!!

Queen: “My lovely Aunty, a woman with a kind heart, a mother and a guardian to me, you were there for me when i had no one, you took me as your very own daughter, you gave me cloth, food and shelter, you gave me hope, you were my light in a dark tunnel, you brought smile to my face, you brought joy into my life, but death cut short everything. We had a little misunderstanding which resulted in me leaving your house, i hold no grudges against you, you did what any other person would have done in your shoes, but i never got to see you again. All this while i was away from you, i had it at the back of my mind that i would repay you for all your kindness towards me but i guess its late now, you are gone and will never return, i am so sorry that i didn’t turn up for your burial, i had a bad fortune and was pained in my heart, little did i know that God has a plan for me. Yes Aunty, Your daughter is married, she is now happy, she is finally realising her dreams, but nevertheless, i made a vow never to shy away from your family. Aunty Grace, i want to make a promise to you right now, your children will be like my own family, i will take care of Amara, Daniel and Precious. I will be there for them and i will never forsake them. As a matter of fact, i plan on taking them to a foreign country, America precisely, to start a new life again and put a big smile on their faces. That is a PROMISE- May you find rest in the lord b—m, i know that one day, we shall see to part no more…Journey well mother”

SHE STOOD UP AND WAS ALREADY LEAVING WHEN A BIRD LANDED ON AUNTY GRACE GRAVE, QUEEN TURNED BACK AND LOOKED AT THE BIRD, SHE WAS SURPRISE, THE BIRD MOVED AT A SLOW PACE ON TOP OF THE GRAVE, THEN IT FLEW AWAY. QUEEN SMILED AND SHE UNDERSTOOD THAT AUNTY GRACE WAS IN SUPPORT OF WHAT SHE SAID….

How time flies, this is 5 years of my stay in America with my husband, 2 children (Johnson and Ann), Amara, Daniel and Precious And Together we are one big and happy family.

The bible clearly state that we should not worry about the cloth we will wear, food to eat or shelter to stay in, rather it says that if the Lord Almighty can feed the birds of the air, then what of humans who He created in his own image and likeness…

Being a virgin does not guarantee you to success, favor, connection or blessings from the lord, rather being a virgin is only but a Privilege, Mary the mother of Christ wasn’t a virgin forever, in fact the bible recorded that she had other children after the birth of Christ. Am not saying that its a good thing that someone is not a virgin, far from it but i am only implying that Virgin or no Virgin, when God wants to bless you, He will and nothing can stop him.

As for the virgins o, small small o, abeg no insult us wey no be virgin at all . U hear, biko nu, inugo. Ejo, abeg. As we lay our bed, naso we go lie on top am.

And lastly to the girl (Name with-held) that brought the issue of not being a virgin on facebook and pleaded with me to write a story online in order to educate people and expand their knowledge, Thanks, i hope you really learn a lot from this story.
