”Say yes to me and I shall do more than this for u”, Fred added looking at nana who was still lost looking at the money with her mouth opened ”i can still double the money if u want! just say yes to me and name ur price”, Fred said and brought out another bundle of money, and placed it on the table ”this is another three hundred thousand naira, making it six hundred thousand, money is not my problem! I will take u round the world if u just say yes to me”, Fred added while nana blinked her eyes twice

”thats enough Fred! I can never accept this money! I will never choose money over my fiance Charles, u know why? because am madly inlove with ur friend Charles! Charles is my life! my all and all! my Eternity! even if u bring the whole money in ur account, I will never accept it, so get that into ur head”, nana said and stood up to go ”but wait! is Charles not supposed to be ur bestfriend? why the betrayal? hmmm!! friend!! I will make sure Charles heard about this, people like u is wat they call backstabber! don’t u ever call me again to tell me this bullshit! rubbish! I love Charles and there is nothing u or anybody can do about it”, nana said and stormed out of the eatery ”wow! she passed the test! wat a trust worthy girl! Charles is good to go with her”, Fred said and smile.

”doctor! I have been coming here almost everyday and yet u keep telling me to go and come back the following day! see doctor! am tired of going and coming, why not just tell me the condition of my husband, is he responding to treatment or not? pls tell me”, flora asked curiously

”madam u have to go and come back the next day, for now I can’t tell u anything”, the doctor said ”doctor am going nowhere! just tell me once and for all! wat is all this go and come back the next day, am tired Biko”, flora said ”ok! do u want to hear it? the doctor asked ”yes! tell me”, flora said ”ok! the truth of the matter is that ur husband is nomore responding to treatment! his kidney is damaged, I advise u fly him abroad for kidney transplant, else u will loose him”, the doctor said

”oh my God! doctor I don’t have money to fly him abroad talk more of the treatment, and the worst part is that I don’t even know my husband ATM pin, so I can know whether he has enough money to fly him abroad and the treatment, he has not even opened his eyes for weeks now! how am I going to get his pin now? I really don’t know wat to do”, flora cried ”madam u will have to take him away from this hospital so other patients can make use of the bed”, the doctor said ”but doctor! is there nothing u can do for him to open his eyes so I can asked him of his pin number! I really don’t want anything to happen to my husband”, flora cried ”am sorry there is nothing I can do and ur husband don’t have much time to live, if u don’t fly him abroad for kidney transplant, he might die soon”, the doctor said as hot tears started dropping down flora’s eyes.

Charles and Fred were seen sitting on the couch, drinking and chatting nosily ”dude! I told u that nana of a girl will pass my test! even with the amount of money u showed her, she still decline ur proposal! am so so proud of her! I shall forever be loyal to her”, Charles said smiling, as he sip a little of his drink

”guy that girl is truly a trust worthy girl! hardly before u see girls like that! nana really loves u with all her heart! guy pls make sure u take good care of her because her kind is so difficult to see”, Fred said smiling ”dude! thank u very much for giving me this great ideal, now I know she truly loves me with all her heart”, Charles said ”u guys are good to go”, Fred said ”thanks dude! now that she has passed my two test, is high time I return the wheel chair and come out my true self”, Charles said

”no! not yet, still keep pretending like u are still a crippled man, let’s know about her parents, if they will later changed their mind towards u and discouraged their daughter about u”, Fred said ”but wat has her parents got to do with this test? Charles asked ”everything! as far as they are the ones that gave birth to the woman u are about to get married to, they have every right to tell their daughter who to follow and who not to follow, so keep pretending”, Fred said ”errrrm! ok no problem”, Charles replied and pour more drink on their glass cup.

Two weeks later, nana returns back from the market, on getting to their compound,she saw a tri cycle parked at the front of their house, at first she thought someone visited them, she walked in and was surprised to see only her parents sitting with a smiling face ”papa! mama! good afternoon”, she greeted looking around ”afternoon my daughter! welcome! I hope u bought all the things I listed? Mrs patient asked ”yes mama! mama I thought someone visited us because I saw a tri cycle parked at the front of our door”, nana asked confusedly ”actually the tri cycle belonged to me! have a seat my daughter let me tell u who bought it for me”, Mr Pete said as nana sat down beside her mother ”my daughter u know my good friend whom I told u travelled to Japan to buy goods? Mr Pete asked ”oh u mean chief UGA? nana asked

”yes!! he was the one that bought that tri cycle for me, he just returned back two days ago! and the good news is that, he wants to marry u! is better to be with him than to be with that crippled man that calls himself Charles! eversince he became crippled, tell me! wat has he offer u? nothing”,Mr Pete said ”u are right my husband! my daughter! forget about that crippled man and accept chief proposal when he comes tomorrow”, Mrs patient chipped in.
