The test results showed that her womb

was damaged in the process of abortion

so her womb is weak and won’t be able

to accommodate another child after this.

She opted for an operation, that she will pay

any amount the doctor asks for but he

refused saying it’s not about money but

the danger she will be putting herself

and the baby.

The worst part of it was that she tested

positive to the deadly Hiv/Aids disease,

I opened my mouth in shock as tears flowed

down her eyes. I couldn’t help but feel

sorry for her,I consoled her in the best

way I could think of even though I know

it was of no use crying over spilt milk.

The deed has already been done and

can’t be averted.

I went home that day with a heavy heart,

I couldn’t believe something like that could

happen to Sandra of all people,she always

seem to be in charge of her game whenever

we go out for business. I couldn’t sleep

that night as different thoughts ran through

my mind,I was contemplating if I should

continue with the runs business with or

without protection? I decided against the

protection of a thing as I concluded I will

stick to one partner. I got a call from my

mum the next day,she and my dad wanted

to see my boss so they could thank him

for everything he is doing for me,I argued

with her that there wasn’t any need for

that but she insisted. I agreed to it so she

won’t start suspecting me or anything.

I began to think of who I will ask to pretend

to be my boss and show my parents that

am actually working for a company. I decided to

call Alhaji suleman,he has a company

not far from campus and I could ask him for

this favor which I know he will readily

agree to,he has been begging me to come

service him but I keep dodging him because

he wasn’t handsome to my taste.

I went

to his office to tell him about it and he

agreed after I promised to spend a week

with him at his beach house in the island.
