Episode 29

After taking couple days of breaking from training my team, I have decided that I need to get back to training them. This would take the load of the rest of the trainers. Perhaps it’s time. No one would give them the helps they need because each team is focusing of different things. 1

When I approached my team, they were confused at first and then they are rushed to me, giving my hugs and asking me how comes I came back. I didn’t reply at first because I was overwhelmed with how happy they were to see me. This truly made me so happy. I was smiling so big, my cheeks were starting to hurt.

“Okay okay. Settle down team”

They listened and back away. They were all still grinning big and were happy to see me.

“I need to discuss something important with you guys first.”I pause for suspense.

“Oh come on woman! We don’t need the suspense. My skin is itching”Kyle blurts out.

Jake slaps him at the back of the head.

I ignore Kyle’s little ow and get in to my story.

“Since I’m going to be here for awhile, I feel like I should be honest to you guys.”I look around and no one said anything so I continued.

“You guys have started to mean something to me and I have so much respect for ever single person here. You have come so far this past few weeks and in few more weeks… I don’t think you guys would even need me. That being said. I feel like I should be honest with you right now if I’m going to continue training you guys.”

I watch as some of them look at each other for an answer and shrugging to say they don’t know either.

“I’m not Blair” 1

Nothing. Until Michael asks “what do you mean you’re not Blair”

“I mean. That’s not my name”

“So what is?”Kyle asks.

I sigh and I pull my shirt up and show them my hip. My redwood pack mark. I got some gasps and confused looks.

“I thought you were from the moonlight pack?”Mia asked.

“Moonlight pack is my pack no matter what. They are my family to the end but they are not my real pack. I don’t carry their mark.”I say before going into detail.

“When I was 18. I decided I needed to start fresh somewhere else but I couldn’t become a rogue because I would get killed straight so I kept my mark. I didn’t tell anyone I was leaving…not anyone other than my best friend, I just packed my stuff and went”

“Why?”Jake asked.

“My life here was terrible. I felt trapped. I felt like I couldn’t be me so I needed to find myself”

“18 you say?”Conner asks.

I nod.

“We are pretty much the same age. I would have known you…right?”

“Conner… I do know you and you definitely do know me. You won’t horrible but you weren’t great either. You won’t notice me because I look different. Much happier and I guess I’m more fitter and skinner” 1

“No fucking way!”

“Holy crap!”

“There is no way”

“So I’m guessing some of you figured it out”

“Well help a brother out?”Kyle says 13

“Man it’s Charlie as in Charlotte Jones. Beta’s sister” Jake shoved Kyle.

“Ding ding ding…we got a winner! Anyways. I’m Charlie. Hi. Sorry I lied. I had to keep my identity a secret for a private reason and now there is no reason too”

“Holy Cow”Conner mutters.

Poor guy…his mouth is wide open.

“I’m so glad you guys know my real name. Next time I pick a fake name…someone remind me not to pick Blair” I joke. 3

I got couple of chuckle. I know that they were still shocked by the way they kept staring at me.

“Let’s get your asses moving. I want 12 laps!”I order.

No one moves.

“I will still kick your ass if you don’t get moving now!”

This gets them moving but doesn’t stop them from looking back at me. I notice that Conner hasn’t moved and I wonder why.

“What’s up Conner?” I ask without even glancing at him.

If he starts to disrespect me…I will kick his ass. It won’t even take me a second because I know all his weakness.

“You said I wasn’t horrible but I wasn’t great either and you are right”he says.

This time I did look at him but I didn’t like the look I saw. Guilt. I wasn’t lying…Conner wasn’t one of the bad guys but he wasn’t good either. He didn’t stop them.

“I was a coward. I knew what they were doing was wrong but I didn’t say anything because I was afraid they would do it to me.”he gives me a dry chuckle.

“And I want to be an enforcer. What a lame ass”he says almost to himself.

“Don’t beat yourself about it Conner. I knew you didn’t like what they were doing. I wish at that time you done something but I understand why you didn’t.” 3

“I felt so guilty about it. I couldn’t even look at you after that”

He is talking about one of the beating Quincy aka Quinn and Sophie gave me. It was so bad and the whole school just watched. It wasn’t until Amy came that it stopped. They would always catch me when I’m not with Amy. 4

I never fought back and that’s one thing I regret.

“I’m not the same person I was 5 years ago Conner and I’m sure you’re not either”I say.

“I’m not! I swear. After you went missing. I thought the worst. I thought you died and I kept having nightmares about it. I blamed myself and I never truly forgave myself. After that I stopped hanging with them. I started to protect their victims.”

I couldn’t help but smile. I’m happy that he changed. That he is a better version of himself. Conner is built to be a leader not a follower. Not a coward.

“Then you’re not a coward Conner. I forgive you so please forgive yourself”

He gives me a grin and I couldn’t help but smile back. 1

“Now join in before I seriously kick your ass”

“Yes ma’am”

“Hey! None of that”

That earns me a chuckle from him.

After training with the group for couple of hours, I decided to call it a day. They all said their goodbye and the best thing about today was them saying my real name. Some apologies about what happened in the past but I told them not to worry about it, as long as they changed, I forgive them.

It was a great day so far but I still had to speak to Mia about Dylan. Before she left, I called her back.

“Heard you found your mate”I couldn’t help but grin.

When she hear the word mate. She quickly looked to her feet. I couldn’t stop the frown on my face. Then I remember what Dylan done when he saw her.

I started laughing and Mia gaze snapped to mine. She was upset but there is a hint of betrayal, anger and hurt. She must thing I’m laughing at her and I need to clear that up real quick.

“There is something you need to know about Dylan. The guy is a clown. Thinks he got game but when it comes to girls, especially girls as beautiful as you… he gets tongue tied”

Mia doesn’t say anything but gives me a confused look. When people see Dylan, they would never call him shy. He is always confident, loud and cocky but when it comes to girls he truly fancies or finds extremely attractive, he becomes a blushing idiot.

“I doubt that. He’s hot and I am…”she trails off.

“Freaking HOT. Your beautiful. Wish you saw that. I mean you have banging bod and this voice that makes a straight woman want to jump you” 20

Mia laughs.

“You are sooo fine girl”

“I’m starting to see that”she giggles

“Good. He will come to you and when he does. Please listen to him. Give him a chance yeah. Finding his mate has been his dream…even though he would never admit it. I love him so don’t hurt him yeah?”

She nods.

Don’t ask me why I am in the kitchen wearing one of Calvin’s shirt and his sport socks. Or why I’m sitting on the counter with a tub of ice cream placed on the counter next to me with Calvin standing beside me eating from that same tub of ice cream. Don’t you dare ask me why we are talking about superheroes and don’t you even think of asking me why I’m enjoying this so much. 61

“Batman is the best superhero ever”he responds.

“He doesn’t have a super power”I argue

“That’s why he is the best. He doesn’t need power to save life”

“How is he super when he doesn’t even have powers!”I exclaim 5

“He is a sadist. Does he fight crime to save life or not help get him off?Maybe he’s a bored billionaire and knows he has the money to get away with shit” 1

“I’m getting Jason Todd vibes from you”

“Worst Robin ever by the way!”I reply.

This stops him from putting the ice cream filled spoon in his mouth. He sends me a disgusted look and I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Okay I think we need to end this conversation before it gets even more heated. You’re not making sense”he says.

“You are just saying that because you know deep down I’m telling the truth.” I giggle.

“No. It’s just embarrassing to hear you say such thing.”

I laugh again.

“I like this”he suddenly says stopping me from laughing.

“Like what?”I whisper.

He walks closer to me, stands right between my legs. His face couple inches away from mine.

“This. You and me.”he whispers.

I gulped. Yep. That’s how pathetic I am. Butterflies actually started to fly in my belly. Haven’t had this feeling for no body else and it really pisses me off. My heart starts racing when I watch his gaze move to my lips. 1

It was like something slap him back to reality. He shook his head and took a step back. He was still between my legs but wasn’t so close to me.

I’m glad he took a step back…right? I mean if I allowed him to kiss me…again…this would get messier. So why do I feel so disappointed? 4

I clear my throat before saying”I umm like this too Cal. It’s great we are getting along. For the kids sake”

“Me too”he says his eyes not leaving mine.

“But I want something more. With you.” He adds.

“What happened to not being worthy of me”I manage to say.

“I still think that. And it’s never going to change. I’m not worthy of you. You deserve someone better than me but I’m a selfish bastard. I want you Charlotte. And that’s not going to change”

With that he walks away. Not looking back once. Leaves me with my mouth wide open. 3

I must look so cute right now…NOT!

Did I tell you guys that he is shirtless and only wearing his boxer briefs? I have never been so jealous of a piece of clothing in my life. 49

I couldn’t help but stare at his broad shoulders and muscly back as he walks off.

As if he could feel my eyes on him, he turns around, smirks, sends me a cheeky wink before disappearing from my sight.

Damn it to hell. I’m in trouble.
