The sun seeps into the room, jex like a young lad tryin to peep on his matured sis dressing up. The sun rays gves the room a kinda bright buh not so bright look with millions of vitamin D wastin. The sun rays went straight into the eyes of a cute, handsome young boy, or shud I say young man, he’s 22 years of age and jex tru wif his NYSC late last year.

‘f–k’ he muttered, stretching his athletic and muscular frame, yawnin at the same time.

Lemme tell yhu a bit abt him, he’s name’s Niphemi, a graduate of the federal university of technology, Akure, of the dept of marine science and tech. He was the second child of a family of 7 (parents and children), he’s the first male child of two. And a very intelligent kid right frm his young age wic made him nicknamed precocious wen he was young.

During his university days, he fell in love with computer science (his preferred course b4 been dumped into marine science) programmin specifically and learnt some programming languages like web design, Java and oracle. By sheer luck he got a job wif a private firm in Lagos as a project manager (yes project manager, still wanderin how thts related to marine science, smh) and has been workin wif them since he finished his NYSC few months ago.

This particular morning, he was xo tired and also still suffering of the hangover he experienced the previous nite, after he went partying wif a group of friends.

He rolled on his sides and felt himself hittin someone, b4 remembering his angel Adesewa, nicknamed Bestie (due to are always been the best in her sec skul) spent the night wit him. He can’t jex stop thankin his stars for mking such an epitome of beauty fall in love wif him xo badly. He is still bewildered of how the daughter of a business tycoon could love him (a middle-class guy with an ‘owky’ family) xo badly to the extent of vouching xo vehemently for him b4 her father wic inadvertently lead to him gettin this job.

‘morni baby’ Adesewa said sleepily

‘gud morni my love’ Niphemi said reaching forward to gve her a full kiss on the lips.

She responded and kissed him deeply, he knws he has to stop dis if he is to get to the office on time, he’s now torned btw enjoyin this moment or stoppin it xo as to get to wrk on time. He went for the latter and stood up abruptly.

‘I’m sowie baby, I’ve got to get to wrk on time, thr’s a new contractor cmin this morni. And I’ve got to welcme her personally’ he said his eyes still takin in her gorgeous body wif a thin transparent night gown coverin it, sprawled on the bed.

‘it owk baby’ she said smilin to herself for hvin tht effect on him.

He went into the shower, brushed his teeth, and took his bath. He ‘entered’ a pair of neat boxers, a black trouser and a lemon coloured long sleeve shirt, well ironed. He took a piece of suit and put it on. He admired himself in the standing mirror standin at the foot of his bed and remembered he hasn’t creamed neither as he combed his hair.

20 mins later, he went down the stairs and couldn’t help buh tke deep breath of the savoury smell of wah’s cmin to him frm the end of the stairs. He got downstairs and met Adesewa settin the dining table jex for one.

‘Aren’t yhu eatin’ he said as he helped himself to a slice of bread, added sme sauce of egg, pepper, tomato…etc ladies knws how they do cook it and a cup of hot tea.

‘I’m not yet ready to eat, I’ll still go bck to rest, I’m my own boss nah and I can go to wrk anytime I’m ready’ she said sittin right opposite his chair.

‘owky dear, jex lock the door wen yhu are ready to leave’ he said btw mouthfuls

Some minutes later he’s on his way to wrk wif his Toyota corolla enjoyin ‘the invasion’ by trip lee playin softly frm his hi-tech speakers.

headed quickly towards the stairs.
