Still in my confused state,I knew I now have two options left :

– stop now before its too late,

I became totally irked and wondered what was really wrong with all this people,and so I decided to leave the stream and start going home,then I realised that I was stuck there…I couldn’t move.

I looked up and saw a figure approaching with such speed,I knew it was coming to harm me and then I understood why people were shouting and screaming.

Still oblivious of what else I could have done, I gave up and knew that my life was over.Immediately the figure came closer to me,it raised its fish like tail upwards,and I saw that it has a double edged sharp blade and that it wanted to slash me into two.I closed my eyes to meet my creator,and then I heard a gentle soft-spoken voice saying:

The voice was unmistakable, I have heard it before. So as I opened my eyes,it occurred to me that I was just dreaming,but that dream lingered in my mind till dawn….

By the time I woke up the next day,everyone has gone to church.

As Catholics,my mum usually attends the first mass of the day,so,she was the first person that came back that day as usual. But as the expression on her face shows,she wasn’t happy that I didn’t go to church..She then quipped in that I should make sure I attend the evening mass..And that was it!

This made me remember one incident that happened in my boarding school days. We were in Ss1 then.

Ekene,Fenian and I wanted to go and buy certain things for our upkeep in school,so as I mandated, we decided to take permission from the auxiliary then,and it was granted.

Of the three of us,I was the only one not from around that local government, am an outsider!
