GRACE

” MOM ! I said shocked .

‘did you just say mom Natalie ? I asked as I cried .

” Grace ” she tried to hold my hand and I pulled my hand off as I cried bitterly.

” We’re step sister’s okay .. I wanted to tell you I just ” she cried as she ran her f!ng£rs in her hair .

” Grace ” she tried to touch me and I pulled my hand off .

” And Gina ? I asked .

” You both share the same Dad ” she said and I looked at her in shock .

” We’re not twins ? I asked shocked .

How is that possible .

Did M@$$imo Know all of this ? Is that why he wants to marry me ?

” How can you say Gina and I are not twins ? It doesn’t make s£nse Nat , one can’t tell the difference between Gina and I if we sit down in one place and I look like my mom ? It’s not possible ok ,the Gina I saw tonight is a spitting image of mom and i ” I said and she rubbed her forehead.

” I’m not supposed to tell you anything , because the less you know the better for all of us ” she said and I laughed bitterly.

” Safer ? I’ve never been safe … Natalie , ever since I grew old enough to know I’m grace Moreno I’ve not been safe …so what would make me unsafe now ? I’m already in danger because I’m sleeping in the bed of the Don of the Italian mafia ” I said and she looked at me.

” Ask mom ” she said and I cried out frustratedly .

” Natalie why are you doing this to me ? You’ve always cared about me and looked out for me …” I trailed.

” That’s exactly what I’m doing even now ,I’m looking out for you … okay”

” Is that why M@$$imo wants to marry me ? What’s my connection with the Russian mafia ? All these hidden truths is Making me run mad Natalie ” I said and she looked at me.

” I know grace , You don’t deserve any of this , Mom doesn’t even recognize me as her daughter …I had to also start fending for myself at an early age , I joined the business at 13 ” she said as tears rolled outta her eyes and she quickly wiped them .

” Mom doesn’t even know which of the guys she was with got her Pregnant ….” She said and at that point ,I understand why mom gave her way a lot back at home .

‘ you need to leave this business Natalie …I hate it , I hate the fact that you have to sell yourself for money …” I said and Yvonne was just busy sipping some alcohol on the opposite couch .

” So you won’t tell us anything ? She asked her with a deep frown on her face .

” I can’t put grace in further danger …” She said softly

” Asking her mom would still put her in the danger …so ” Yvonne shrugged.

” Just stay away from Gina ” she said and kizzed my cheeks lovingly .

” I’m glad we’re sisters ” I said and we smiled at each other. I understood Natalie’s point and I didn’t wanna push it , if she thinks hiding the truth is for the better ,I’d let it be .

” C’mon we gotta go, Before M@$$imo starts looking everywhere for us ” she said and I rolled my eyes.

” That annoying brother of yours” I spat angrily and Natalie chuckled.

” You’re the first person to badmouth the Don without an ounce of fear ” she said and I looked away.

” I’d see you around ” i said and Yvonne kizzed her goodbye too as we walked out together .

My mind went back to the fact that Gina and I are step sister’s and actually not twins , how true was that ?

I don’t even know what pa-rt of the estate M@$$imo has her cadged in.

Throughout our drive back to the Mansion I just sat down quietly , Yvonne tried to make small conversations but when she noticed I wasn’t interested she let it be .

She drove into the compound ,I noticed one of M@$$imo’s brothers going into the mansion too ..

Through the back ,I knew immediately that it was Frederico .

That arrogant man , he was exactly like M@$$imo. The calculative and calm eyes was exactly what made me not trust him one bit .

I wondered if I should ask him about my mom … Yvonne followed my eyes and g@sp .

” Don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking ? She asked immediately.

” C’mon I have to know the truth somehow , who knows he might tell me ” I said to which she facepalmed herself.

” He’s worse than max okay , I wouldn’t even try asking Frederico anything that guy thinks with his heart in the backseat ‘”she said and I chuckled softly.

We both got down from the car and I walked in with her .

When we got to the sitting room I noticed all the De LUCA brothers and Yvonne’s husband Dimitri sitted quietly accept The Don .

” Hey pumpkin ” Emelio hailed at me and I smiled at him .

” Hey emi ‘” I said and Frederico was just sitting with one leg above the other whilst scrolling through his phone .

I wonder which meeting they where Makin.

Not too long He walked Down the stairs and I noticed his belt was undone…I didn’t know why but I didn’t like it ,I noticed a half dressed girl Besides him with hair scattered all over the place .

He brings his women to the mansion ? I wondered out loud as the girl bowed and left .

He walked p@$$ed me and his brothers greeted immediately he sat down .

” Babe ” Yvonne tried to call but I just smiled at her and walked towards the kitchen.

So what if he acted like I wasn’t in front of him ,I don’t care …I don’t ….” I said and breath out softly .

I walked into the kitchen and saw lots of servants .

” What are you doing here ! I heard his mom say immediately .

” Huh…it’s nothing I just came to …make dinner ” I said and she frowned .

” M@$$imo didn’t say you where permitted to work ” she said in a voice like and that’s final .

” Your son is not my father ” I spat frustratedly.

“As much as I hate it , he will be your husband soon and I demand you respect him” she said and I smirked

” Respect him ? I can’t respect a man that doesn’t respect himself ” I said and she g@sped .

” Hold your tongue little girl , my so is the Don , and just because he’s going soft on you doesn’t give you the reason to disrespect him got it ? She spat angrily.

” I’m not disrespecting M@$$imo madam ,the problem is I cannot Marry a man that wouldn’t have eyes for me , m@$$imo would never be loyal to a woman …and I don’t think I can handle a cheating husband ‘ I said hurt visible in my voice and she walked closer .

” That’s where you need to grow up grace , it’s in the nature of men to cheat and for us to welcome them with open arms when they’re back ” she said and I looked at her in shock.

Is this woman normal ? Is something wrong with her thinking ability or I’m just hearing things .

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard other than mom telling me to join. Her business .

” Ma’am no offense but I refuse to stay in a relationship with a man that cheats ” I repeated myself.

” Grace ….” She trailed ..

” Would you say the same if I cheated on your son ? Please don’t be an hypocrite because I know you would ask M@$$imo go kill me ….” I said and she opened her mouth to scold me .

” Just as no man wants a cheating wife , no woman deserves a cheating husband either it’s vice versa ,I don’t understand why y’all think it’s normal for a man to cheat …but then when a woman cheats you make sure her name is dragged to the mud ,if possible you have her head for it ” I spat angrily and she glared at me.

” You’re the most stubborn girl I’ve ever seen , I wonder what M@$$imo See’s in you ” she said and I just ignored her as she walked p@$$ed me .

I couldn’t stay in the kitchen , plus I’d lost my appetite after seeing M@$$imo and that ugly bimbo a while ago …

I went back to his room , took a shower as sat on the bed tiredly ….

” Oh …..” She mo+an ed as i pushed her off and I got up .

” Is everything okay Don ? She asked worriedly …

” No …I’m not in the mood ” i said and she stared at me in shock , probably Wondering why I set the mood and then said I didn’t want it anymore .

” Don. ..let me make you happy ,let me …” She trailed .

” I said I’m no longer in the mood don’t you get it ? I spat angrily and she stiffened in fear .

” Get your things and leave” I said and she left the bed and picked up her things .

I picked my phone and walked out .

Grace and Yvonne had just arrived from wherever they went , She’d noticed the wh*re but I just ignored her and walked p@$$ed her .

I was loosing my mind with all the recent happening .

I didn’t understand that girl called Gina. She appeared to grace but wouldn’t give the evidence to her Father the Don of the Russian mafia ?

Why then did she come to see Grace ?

Is she trying to give her to their father ? Grace is the only precious thing I have that belongs to the Russians .

She was the favorite child of the Don , not until …her mom left the Russians …I don’t know the underground story , but I know he’d do anything to have his daughter back .

I need to get married to grace , knock her up with one or two kids before he finds out .

I need to get the evidence from Gina also .

” With the amount of evil running in your mind bro ,you might run mad soon ” Sergio said sitting on the opposite couch .

” Shut up ” I spat to which he raised both hands in surrender .

” Did you even go to college Sergio ? Don’t you wanna graduate ? Frederico asked.

” Ah …I’m more intelligent than most of my lecturers ” he said and Kristov chuckled.

” It’s not fair to mock them” Emelio said to which he rolled his eyes .

” Go sing your love songs and live me be ” he said to which I rubbed my forehead tiredly.

” Did she say anything ? I asked Rico .

” That woman wants me to go violent on her ,she’s as stubborn as her daughter , she’s refused to say the truth ” he said to which Dimitri chuckled .

” What would you do now ? Kris asked teasingly.

” Get married in her terms. ….” I said and they g@sped .
