Anita’s Pov
I was a bit surprised when Mrs Linda called me to asked me if i am expecting anyone, this is Lagos, I never expected anyone, the only person i got to know here in Lagos is Mrs Linda and her family, so asking me questions like that really surprised me, I told her i wasn’t expecting anyone, then she went outside to see the person first, so i stood at the window side looking from the window, but what surprises me was what i saw. It was that same guy Tony i remembered, but what’s is he here for i said to myself, then i noticed the interaction between him and Mrs Linda so i walked downstairs, after he noticed me then he quickly came to greet, but what surprises me was the fact that he was actually acting like we have known each other for a very long time, at first i wanted to talk but hell he was smart enough that Mrs Linda had to let him in, after we got inside we ate together but then i noticed Abbey he had really changed since the arrival of Tony, though i thought it’s normal maybe because i had a visitor so i felt that’s how guys do not until he called me to asked about Tony, I told him how i met with him and all but his reaction now make me understand that he didn’t like Tony at all, after i left him then i went back to meet Tony who was at then interacting with Amaka my sister, he has really make himself comfortable that everyone seems to like him including Mrs Linda but nevertheless i don’t care we’re just friends and it’s not like he’s kinda important, so i sat at a chair close to Amaka, I think he noticed me so he stood up and came to sit beside me, gosh this guy and his wahala i said. After sitting then he told me about Abbey, what’s wrong with that your brother self he said, I just smiles because i can’t imagine guys like Abbey and Tony, why are you guys like that i said, then he told me that Abbey should be more friendly, we’re both guys he said. though from the way he talks guess he Tony didn’t know that i didn’t relate with anyone in that house, he believes that Abbey was just a brother to me , and since i don’t want to be prolonging the issue so i kept silent about it. Later that evening, Tony went back home, but i can tell you that he’s a nice person because despite the fact that i refused to collect money from him while excorting him home, it was later when i got back home i now realized that he had gave Amaka some money for herself and for me incase i don’t collect the money from him, I was still discussing this with Amaka when Abbey came in, what the hell did he think he was, oh he think he can just come into someone else house and be spraying money, no Abbey I never collected the money from him, it was now that Amaka came in to tell me that he had gave her the money before he left , so what I’m i supposing to do i said, but what surprises me was that Abbey that insisted that i shouldn’t spend the money, but why I asked him, he told me that lagos is more dangerous than i can imagine what if he’s into ritual, at first i believe him but later got to realize that Tony can’t do that. Later that night i went to my room, while he also went in to his room as well Mrs Linda was heard from the door side talking to someone on phone, maybe her husband who knows. It was around 12 o’clock earlier that morning everyone has gone to sleep though Amaka had slept in my room too, so everywhere seems silent only the sound of the generator downstairs was that is been heard around the compound, I was about sleeping when i heard voices of legs, it looks like people jumping in inside the compound, but i just believe maybe i got it wrong, because i never expected anyone to come in by that time not even a spirit i said to myself, though i was about sleeping too because as at that time, what i had on was my nighties a net gown with my pant, then i went back to sleep, after some minutes then i had a knock at the door normally i don’t expect anyone at that time and not even Mrs Linda, who’s there i said but seriously no one responded so i walked to the door to open up, but what i saw make me out of my mind, it was a guy with a gun covering his face he told not to shout or scream if not i will die any minute time, so i was very scared that i couldn’t decide on what to do by myself so i followed his instructions as he told me to move downstairs, I think Amaka had heard our conversation so she’s awake too, they took us downstairs, but what surprises me was to see Mrs Linda and Abbey laying down already, the gang were three in numbers, after bragging and all then a guy asked for money it was then i now realized that this people are thieves and they came to steal, I heard Mrs Linda plead saying there’s no money, but then a lady among the crew shouted at her, oh you think we came here to play abi, then she instruct her gun and point it at my head and promised to kill me if Mrs Linda don’t turn up and bring out money, seriously i couldn’t think outrightly anymore God please save me, this was all that i was saying, when i heard Mrs Linda stopped her and told her she will go bring the money, really i thought it was just a merely joke, after about five minutes later then she came with a bag of money , they collected the bag from her as a boy of his 19years maybe open the bag and gave signal that it’s confirmed. So they warn us not to shout if not they will come back and kill anyone seen shouting, so they left that midnight. Seriously i can’t believe that Mrs Linda could save my life with money, I surely would have been dead by now if she didn’t give them the money, but who knows anyway, come to think of it, it’s now i understand that Mrs Linda truly loves me, though she called the police to inform them about the incident which they promised to lock up that area in some minutes time.

After we left the house with the money, i was really happy because i knew the money is not a small one, so we left the estate around 1 o’clock that morning, after some drives, we started hearing the sounds of the police patrol car, though i thought it was just normal patrol not until the sound kept coming closer, it was then i got to realized that they were coming for us, what should we do i heard Abdul asked, keep driving i said, after some drives then we saw their light from afar it’s vividly clear that they were coming for us.
