Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 11

The work dinner got everyone in a good mood. The place was dazzling with lights and the peach and white decorations made the whole place look beautiful.

You would think that everyone would be seated eating but as the music blasted through the speakers, almost everyone moved to the dance floor.

Sasha and Ross were still seated as she was laughing so hard at the jokes he made.

“Everyone seems to be having so much fun”, Ross said, looking around.

“Yeah”, Sasha said, smiling.

“They really needed this. You’re an amazing boss”, he said to her.

“Thank you”, she said, blushing.

“Do you want to dance?” He asked her

“No. I’m a bad dancer”, she said to him.

“Oh c’mon. Who’s a good dancer over there?Everyone is just having fun”.

“I would prefer we sit here”, she said to him.

“If you don’t get up, I’m going to carry you the dance floor”, he said.Her eyes widened

“You wouldn’t!”

“Dare me”, he said and she laughed.

“You wouldn’t”, she said. He quickly got up and lifted her up bridal style.

“Ross!!” She exclaimed as he took her to the dance floor. Everyone stopped to stare at them and most them laughed when they saw what was happening.

“Mmm, it looks like Sasha is really having fun”, Lilian said to Ralph. They were still seated as others were dancing.

“You did that”, Ralph said to her.

“Well, it’s what friends do”, Lilian said, smiling.

“You’re really an amazing person. Sasha is lucky to have you in her life”.

“We’re all lucky to have each other”.

“Yeah. Do you want to dance?” He asked her and she was surprised.

“You sure?”

“Yeah. Why not? Or do you want me to carry you to the dance floor like Ross?” He asked her and she shook her head.

“I’ll dance but you better be able to keep up”, she said to him.

“Mmm, bring it on”, he said to her. She got up and went to the dance floor.

She went to the middle and started getting her groove on. She danced so well and got everyone’s attention.

“Whooo. Go girl”, Rachel said to her.

Ralph wasn’t surprised. He knew that she was a good dancer.

“Bring it on Ralph”, she said to him. He walked up to her and danced so well too and everyone was surprised.

“Mmm, who knew Ralph could get down like that”, Rachel said to the person next to her.

Lilian and Ralph were still getting it on the dance floor as everyone cheered them on. After a while, the dj switched the music genre to love and blues. All the singles left the dance floor and the couples were in each other’s arms as they swayed and danced to the slow rhythm of the song.

Sasha had her head on Ross’ chest as they moved to the rhythm of the song.

She was so happy and glad that she had met Ross.

After dinner, the girls and Ralph met at Sasha’s house. They were all at the mini bar at the poolside as they reminisced the dinner.

“Today was so amazing!” Alicia exclaimed.

“Yeah. We saw how things were getting heated between you and your hot stuff”, Sasha said to her.

“I’m even surprised that you didn’t take it to your house or his”, Rachel said, winking.

“Oh please. I’m not that thirsty”, Alicia said, laughing. “But he’s just so amazing and so fine”.

“Yeah. Where did you buy him from? I’ll like to go to that same shop”, Rachel said, laughing.

“Don’t act like you don’t have men swimming around you and you’ve decided to stick to someone who’s in another planet”, Alicia said and they all laughed.

“Yeah. I like it like that”, Rachel said, rolling her eyes.

“Mmm, Ralph and Lilian are too quiet for my liking”, Sasha said and they all turned to face them.

“Yeah. After stealing the show today, we were hoping for more show”, Rachel said to them.

“Oh I’m not quiet”. Lillian said to them.

“Hmmm. I’m going to the kitchen to get something to eat. Rachel you coming?” Alicia said to her.

“Eat? After what we ate at the dinner? I…” she began to say, but Alicia used her shoulder to hit her and gave her a sign.

“Yeah. I would love to eat again. My tummy is already empty. I think my digestive system is so…”

“You s–k at acting. Just follow me and pull Sasha along”, Alicia said interrupting and she left.

Rachel got up too and dragged Sasha along

“I don’t want to eat”, Sasha exclaimed as she followed her.

“Sssshhhh”, Alicia gestured at her.

“What’s going on?” She asked when they got to the kitchen.

“Can’t you see that they both need some space?” Alicia asked.

“For what?” Sasha asked.

“Sasha. Don’t tell me you’ve not realized that Lilian likes Ralph?”

“She does?” Rachel asked.

“Oh God. You two are so blind. Why do you think they’re always fighting?”

“Ohh. That’s true!!!” Sasha said.

“Why hasn’t she said anything to us?”

“Cos she doesn’t want to admit it. Plus he also had a girlfriend”, Alicia exclaimed, face palming.

“Mmm. So does Ralph like her too?” Rachel asked.

“I don’t know but I hope so”, Alicia said.

“Wow, I’m so happy already. Let’s do everything in our power to make sure they end up dating!!” Sasha said in excitement.

“Why do you think we left them together?” Alicia asked.

“Oh yeah. I feel so slow”, Sasha said, hitting her forehead.

“I’m sure it’s cos of what you drank”, Rachel said.

“Yeah yeah. I’m sleepy. I’d have to leave you two and go to bed”.

“Sure. I’ll be sleeping over. So I’ll join you soon”, Rachel said to her.

“I’d love to sleep over too. I don’t think I can drive home in this state. So I’ll join you too”, Alicia said, grinning.

“Alright”, Sasha said and she left.

Samantha and Sally were in the main hall arguing and throwing things around.

“What’s going on over here?!” Sasha asked but they both ignored her.

“When it arrives, I’m taking it”, Sally yelled.

“I ordered it. So I’m taking it!!” Samantha exclaimed as she threw the pillow towards Sally.

“You ordered it right after you heard me saying that I wanted it”.

“No! I ordered it before you said it!”

“I want that dress Sammy!!”

“I want it too!”

“Wait, are you two arguing over a dress? Why can’t you just order another one?”

“It’s the last one smart pants!” Sally said to her.

“What dress is that?” Sasha asked.Samantha took her phone and showed it to her.

“This dress? I have one and I’ve not worn it yet. I can sell it to you Sammy”.

“No. Sell it to Sally. I ordered for this one already”.

“I don’t want anything of yours”, Sally said to her.

“You have a lot of things which are mine. Dummy!”

“I’m not a dummy! Who asked you to get involved in the first place”.

“Okay. That’s it. I’m out! And if you ever speak to me that way again? I’m going to whoop your ass!”

“Whoop who?” Sally asked and Sasha walked up to her and slapped her and they began to fight. Sasha indeed whooped her ass.

“I hate you all! I hate this house and I can’t wait to get mine!!” Sally exclaimed and she walked away.

“Yeah. You do that. We don’t want you here either!!” Sasha exclaimed and walked away too.

Sasha was hanging out with Ross at his place as he prepared something for her to eat.

“Your house is really lovely. I can’t wait to get my place”, she said, smiling.

“Why haven’t you gotten your own place?”

“Because I want to be around my mum and I’ve not seen a place I like”, she said to him.

“Mmm, you like mine?”

“Yeah”.

“So why don’t you move in?”

“Move in? No. I don’t think it’s a good idea”.

“Why not?”

“First we are not married and also it’s too early”.

“Married? Do we have to have to be married first?”

“Yeah. I thought you were a Christian?”

“I am but I’ve not seen where it says that we have to be married before moving in together?”

“Hmm, the Bible describes marriage as leaving your father’s house to be joined to another person. In those days, marriage becomes marriage when the guy asks for the lady from her dad.

And before the dad gives her out, he takes bride price and then he makes the entire family and village aware that he is giving his daughter out to this guy and then he blesses them. So yeah”.

“Mmm, you’re wise. I didn’t see you to be the church type”.

“I don’t go to church that much but I’m a Christian and my mum taught me some few things”.

“I see. So are you a Virgin?”

“Nah. But now I’m celibate. The last person I did it with was Phi…”, she began to say and she paused.

“What is it?”

“I need to go”, she said to him.

“Why? Did I say something to offend you?” He asked. She shook her head as she gathered her things.

“I’ll see you later Ross”, she said and she left the house.
