Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 47

Things were a bit rocky with Sasha and Hanson after the court case incident. Sasha became distant and was always keeping to herself. Her friends and family were also worried about her.

“Hey”, Hanson said to her as he walked into her room. She was watching a movie and was so into it that she didn’t realize that he was there.

“Sasha”, he said, startling her.

“What?” She exclaimed as she looked at him. “You scared me, when did you get in here?” She asked him.

“Few seconds ago”, he said to her.

“Oh okay”, she said and she continued with her movie.

“I got you your favorite food”, he said to her and she just nodded.

“You don’t want to eat?” He asked her as she was focused on her tv and she didn’t reply.

“Sasha, I’m talking to you”, he said to her.

“Hanson just put it down somewhere. I’ll eat it later”, she said to him.

“Am I bothering you?” He asked her.

“No but you’re interrupting what I’m watching”, she said to him.

“So you can’t even pause it and talk to me?” He asked and she was still focused on the tv. He took the remote and turned it off.

“What the hell?! Why would you do that?” She exclaimed.

“You keep ignoring me and acting like I’m not here. You said you weren’t feeling too well and I decided to leave work and come and see you but you’re ignoring me and watching a movie that you can pause”.

“Hanson, thank you for coming to see me but you just don’t turn off my tv”.

“I’m really sick of your recent behavior. What at all is your problem? You’ve been acting so different ever since the court case. At first I was like maybe you’re just so tired of everything that’s been hitting us and I understood you and was always at your side and gave you space when you needed it. But it’s been two weeks now and if this is how you’re going to keep behaving, then I guess wouldn’t make it cos I can’t put up with this”, he said to her and she was quiet.

“So you’re just not going to say anything?” He asked her.

“What do you want me to say? I’ve been trying to just get over all these problems that I’ve had since we got together and..”

“All the problems you’ve had since we got together? Are you being serious? The problems we’ve had are from your ex and so I don’t understand how you’ve made it your own problem and making it seem like me getting with you, brought the problems!”

“I didn’t mean that I’m just…”

“You know what, I’ll let you be and stop forcing things to be better. Have a lovely day”, he said and he walked away.

On his way out, he met Ann. She saw the look on his face and stopped him.

“Hanson, is everything okay?”

“Nothing is okay. I don’t just understand her, why would she start acting like she’s the only one who’s gone through something? I’m just sick of this”, he said to her.

“Oh Hanson, please relax”, she said to him.

“I’ve really tried to be relaxed and calm since but she’s not getting any better and she wouldn’t even tell me what’s making her this way”.

“Hmm, come with me”.

“I really have to get back to work. We’ve got a full house today”, he said to her.

“It wouldn’t take much time, just come with me to my study and I’ll get you some drink to cool off”, she said to him and he followed her.

She offered him a drink and he drank it and relaxed on the chair.

“I don’t know what is happening but I don’t think she’ll just start behaving like this without any reason”, she said him.

“That’s the problem. I’ve been asking her but she’s just shut me out and it’s really frustrating”.

“Hmm I really don’t want this to affect your relationship or end it. You’re the best person for her and I’ve come to love you as a son, please be more patient and maybe she’ll come around”.

“It’s been two weeks, I’ve tried and I don’t know what else to do”.

“Hmm, has she gone to see her therapist”.

“I’ve told her several times to go since she doesn’t want to open up to me but she’s being stubborn. I really don’t know her problem is”.

“Hmm, i think we should get her therapist to come and see her here. I think it would work”.

“I don’t know but sure, I’ll go to the clinic when I close and try to get Mavis to come and see her”.

“That’ll be great. You’re the best Hanson”, she said to him, smiling.

“I have to go now. Thanks for the drink and thanks for talking to me, I’ll see you later”, he said and he left.

Later in the evening, Sasha was in her room, arguing with her friends.

“What is wrong with you?! So you’re just going to go back to the old Sasha without even letting us know what has triggered it?” Rachel asked and she rolled her eyes.

“I’m not going back to any old Sasha. I just don’t feel like talking, what don’t you guys get? Just leave me alone”, she said to Rachel.

“If you keep up with this attitude, you’ll lose us and lose Hanson”, Alicia said to her.

“Well it wouldn’t be the first time I lost someone”, she said to her.

“Sasha c’mon, what is it? Did anything happen between you and Hanson? Or is it us?” Ralph asked.

“It’s nothing I just feel like being on my own these days”, she said to him.

“Hmmmph”, Lilian said, frowning.

As they continued to talk, Hanson walked in with Mavis.

“Oh here we go”, she said, rolling her eyes.

“Hey”, Hanson said to them.

“Hi” Mavis also said to them and they all exchanged greetings.

“Sasha, it’s been a while. How are you doing?” She asked her.

“I’m good”, she said, smiling.

“Let’s excuse them”, Hanson said to the others and they all left.

“Oh Mavis you shouldn’t have bothered yourself to come”, Sasha said to her.

“It wasn’t a bother at all. I just wanted to know how you’re doing”, Mavis said to her.

“Oh you can sit on my bed”, she said to Mavis who was standing and Mavis sat on her bed.

“So how are you?” Mavis asked.

“I’m good”.

“I mean how are you? I want real answers”.

“Oh I’m good”.

“You don’t look good and you’ve lost some weight. Your eyes look sunken. Have you been crying?” She asked her.

“Me? No”.

“You’re lying Sasha. Talk to me, what’s the problem?”

“Nothing really”.

“I know about the court issue but it’s been 2 weeks now and I don’t think that’s what’s making you like this”.

“Hmmm”.

“Did Hanson do something?” She asked and Sasha looked away.

“He did something?” Mavis asked again.

“Sasha just talk to me and let’s work this out instead of you being like this”.

“I’m just so tired of everything. I almost lost my company and everything I’ve built and then as if that wasn’t enough. Hanson’s exes were also all over the place and when I ask him, he tells me it’s nothing but it’s bothering me and I can’t stand anymore problems. Since we got together, it’s been one ex poking their nose and trying to hurt us. I can’t continue like this. I’m tired. I just want to be on my own. I wish I could disappear or take a long vacation but I can’t just abandon my company like that. I’m just stuck”.

“Hmm, exes can really be a whole bundle of issue but I think it’s normal and…”

“This isn’t normal. My ex’s family tried to take my company from me. Who knows what Chloe or Eve or whatever ex is out there will do”.

“Why won’t you just talk to him about it”.

“I tried and he hid it from me”.

“How?”

“The day after the court case, I drove to his house and I saw Chloe walking out. I waited for while cos I didn’t want to attack her or anything. So I stayed in my car and tried to comport myself and when I went into his house, I saw him with a worried look on his face, I asked him what the problem was and he said nothing and I tried to ask him if it was Chloe and he was like oh, it’s nothing and he asked me to let it go. Then that same evening I saw him texting someone repeatedly, I asked him who it was, he said it’s nothing and then later I saw the contact name. It was Eve but he kept saying nothing and it got me paranoid and all. When I tried to talk about it, he just said that I shouldn’t think too much about it that it’s nothing but it just made me feel someway and I feel like our problems are just starting and I’m just so freaking tired of all these problems and exes. I am!” Sasha said to her.

“Hmm, I understand you and maybe he was just trying to protect you and not bother you with his ex issues”.

“He should have still spoken to me about it and not hide it. And honestly I don’t even care anymore. I’m just sick of it”.

“Hmm. And why have you also been shutting your friends out?”

“I just don’t want to talk to them about it and I know they’ll try to get it out of me and I just want to let things be and be on my own for a while”.

“I don’t think that’s best. Just talk to Hanson about it and sort it out. If you can’t continue, no one will force you but just talk it out and if it’ll lead to a break up, fine, it’s better you talk than to harbor it and keep pushing him and everyone away”, Mavis said to her.

They talked for a while and then Mavis left. When she left, Hanson walked in.

“Mavis said you want to talk to me” he said to her.

“Yeah”, Sasha said to him and he sat on her bed.

“When was the last time you spoke to Chloe?” She asked and he was confused.

“Chloe? I think last week or so, why?”

“So she’s still not out of your life completely?”

“Oh she is”.

“Then what was she doing in your house the other time and why were you so upset and why didn’t you tell me what happened”.

“Oh I asked for some of my documents that she had when she was my lawyer and she brought it to me and started talking about how she misses me as a friend and all that, and I had to let her know that it is what it is and that she should move on and she’ll have better friends”.

“And why were you upset?”

“She told me that she was going to move away and I was sad that I was the reason why she’s sad and the reason why she’s moving. I wished that there was something I could do but I guess it’s the best option for her”.

“Hmmm, so why didn’t you tell me?”

“We just went through a whole lot with Ross’ family. I didn’t want to bother you with more ex drama”.

“And what about Eve? You were texting her that evening and you told me it was nothing too but it seemed intense”.

“Honestly I was also tired of the ex drama and I was trying to make sure that she was not going to be a problem and I handled it”.

“Hmm, I’m just so tired of them and I don’t know if I can trust you”.

“Sasha. I love you and there’s nothing that’s going to change it. And for the ex drama, I’ve handled it. They won’t bother us anymore and even if they do, we’ll handle it together”, he said to her.

“Hmmm”, she said to him.

“I don’t know what else you want me to say but I love you and I’ll always be at your side no matter what”, he said to her and she nodded.

“So is that why you’ve been acting like this?”he asked.

“Yeah I was just tired of the problems”.

“You should have just addressed it and allow us to work it out together”.

“I did but you were just saying nothing”, she said to him.

“I’m sorry for that. I was just trying to protect you and from now on I’ll be open with you concerning anything”.

“Hmm okay”.

“You also have to be open with me cos I don’t think I’ll be cool with you doing this again”.

“Hmmm, I’m sorry”.

“I’m sorry too”, he said to her and she forced a smile.

“I’m actually sleepy and I honestly need more time to process all this. So can we call it a night?” She asked him.

“Hmm. No problem. Good night”, he said, pecking her on her cheek and then he left.

Few weeks went by and things got back to normal till Hanson started acting strange and it got Sasha worried. She got more worried when he didn’t speak to her on her birthday.

“Maybe he’s just busy”, Lilian said to her. Her car was faulty so she had to join Sasha in hers.

How busy can he be that he can’t wish me on my birthday. He’s been like this for 3 days. I don’t even understand what the issue is”.

“Did you try to call him?”

“Yeah but he was always like, he’ll call me back and he never calls”.

“Hmm, maybe we should just pass by his restaurant to see what’s up”, Lilian said to her.

“I don’t want to seem too desperate”.

“Oh I don’t think it’d seem that way. You’ll just tell him that you were stopping by to see how he’s doing”.

“You sure?”

“Yeah. Just turn around and let’s go”, she said to her and she turned around.

When they arrived at the restaurant, It was quite filled up with cars.

“Hmm now I see why he’s busy. It looks like they have a full house today”, Sasha said to her.

“Yeah”, Lilian said to her.
