Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 25

Quickly, i rushed down to the kitchen with an empty sauce in one hand and a sugar filled one in a second hand. My mobile was ringing in the kitchen – the seventh one i’ll be taking that morning and i’m sick of it actually.

“Hey mum” i said as i struggled with the kettle boiling water while i made tea with the second free hand while the mobile was hooked between my neck and cheek.

“Hello son” her voice came up at the other end.

“its all good mum”

“i know son…so hows it gon be”.

“The name?” i knew what she meant tho and i was proud of it actually.

“You know what i mean son”

“alright” i surrendered ” Its TONY…the name’s tony”

She went silent for a while before she spoke up .

“We all miss him…. He is a very good man… But he’s back with us now isnt it?”

“Yeah mum and i really need to go now… Bye!”

“Stev….” i cut the cut before she could protest. Quickly, i got a tray and i arranged the items on it and i ran off the stairs.

I knelt carefully beside kate to help her with the Tea.

“Theres no sugar in it!” she shreiked

“But i thought you said no sugar”

“And now i want it!…so get me one!” quickly, i rushed out of the room again down to the kitchen.

I was about making another tea when my mobile beeped again.

“Steve here…”

“i need some milk here” Kate’s voice blared out and mehn i sighed deeply.

“No salt please and get a little warm liquid too and a little sugar also add the cow milk and remeber to get a napkin!”

I couldn’t say a word. I just stood there with water welling in my eyes – yes right, my wife is pregnant and automatically, i became a nanny.

Its a boy actually and well i have a name already – TONY.

My dog came in almost immediatly with a note and when i took it ….

” Baby, ion need any of those anymore…just get up here and run the water in the tub and switch on the Tv’

I looked at my dog, to the boiling water and back to the note and one way…

“I LOVE YOU KATE” escaped my lips as i ran up the stairs…
