The Secretary

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 6

After the meal, i noticed the nervousness mixed with darkness in her look…i wraped my palm around her hand accross the table.

She looked up like she was jolted from a trance.

“kate…”i began “you are not looking your normal self”

I didnt remove my eyes from her still and she in return fixed hers on me too.

“Does anything seem different other than going on a date with your boss”

Really, that was funny and i laughed and that was the only time i took my eyes off her because i threw my head backwards and then my eye caught something – a black jeep zoomed towards us and then it stopped a bit and the glass wound down and almost immediately, it sped away.

No actually, its normal for a car to wait by a eatry especially when you yourself sit at the window side… Hey! I’m on a date here not on a crime scene investigating.

“well you know,” i began again ” I used to have this feeling when we first met that you’re wierd”

At that, she drew her face but she quickly smiled, i think my words are too heavy.

“Its just a normal thing for a newbie in a new field to act the kid for the sake of newness”

That was funny too – the way she put her words were funny.

“more of why i decided to open you up” i was supposed to keep that inside my head.

“Are you kidding me?” she snorted smiling at what i just said.

“You know…you laughing and your eyes carrying an entirely different message…its all wierd-funny”

“oh oh…lets just say thats me”

The boldness grew in me now so i took her on again.

“what is “you” exactly?”

There was no answer, we were just staring at each other now so much that i started to feel dizzy or tense inside.

I tried to talk but no words came out of my mouth.

I just sat there like a statue.

I dunno but somehow i reached for her neck and i brought her mouth down to mine in such a fast way that i guessed she didnt see it coming – her lips were warm and trembling, i tried to engage her passionately and surely she want it too but she was kinda jerking like she was being pulled back or something.

Soon, her body relaxed and she crept her hand slowly to my head placing her hand purposely behind my neck and she gave in first with her tongue then later her upper lip,

I took it in gently while she just twirled her lower lip in my mouth.

I couldnt control myself anymore now – i put my hands down under the table towards her laps and i was almost in contact when suddenly we jerked away from eachother.

We were both uncounscious of what we were doing so what could have stopped us? But i can swear i saw a clicking light somewhere in the dark perhaps she saw it too.

I had to fill in something for the rising embarrassment swelling between us now as we just sat staring at eachother

“uhm…errrm…soo..Do…Do you have the credentials of the results of the bio fiction calculations of the nuclear transponders?” That was stupid, so stupid i could have said something else.

“Yeah, well ion have it here”

“okay then you lemme have it tomorrow”

“Tomorrow?…But tomorrow is a saturday and saturday means no work”

I know she said that to put me in my right mind.

“oh…okay then you bring them to my house”

Stupid again! My house of all places?…stupid steve.

She didnt say anymore word, but she quietly picked her bag and she left the eatry.

I tried to clear my head and perhaps have a rethink about whats happened as i watched her strode to her car.

Kate walked briskly to her car as tears flowed down her eyes freely – what the heck was she doing, she wasn’t supposed to love , what was her life anyway.

She opened her door and she threw her and bag in first before she entered and she was about starting the engine when she heard a gun click behind her head…
