Thats something else now.

“Did you attack him”

He threw his ears up meaning he did. I began to check his body for any injury whatsoever and thankfully there was none.

I got back to the matter at hand

Wondering how anyone could get into my compound and even inside my house!…this is serious.

Moreso, tackling an enemy you dont know is really difficult as you dont know what or how or who he is.

The only solution when facing such is to lure them out….

I got up to inspect if any other thing was missing or not right and after a thorough inspection, i proceeded to my room.

My laptop was missing, some work files were missing too!…

But one thing, i had a bundle of cash beside my laptop and its still there right on the spot…

I racked my brain for any clues but i didnt get one. I went round all the rooms-Nothing!

So who the hell is my secret admirer?

I made a call to tony but he didnt answer not until the third time…

“Tony..we have a problem”

In less than thirty minutes, Tony’s car entered my compound.

I flew downstairs immediately to meet him.

“so what are we looking at here?”

I like it when I’m with the proffesional tony.

We made for my room upstairs.

“well, i was on a date with kate…”

“kate you say?.. I thought she was just a secretary!” he said that sacarstically.

“well…we were kinda doing stuff and i can swear i saw a clicking light which jolted us apart”

I didnt digress to his joke.

“Thats where and when i started having a bad feeling”

I stopped to look at Tony who was busy cuddling my dog.

“Steve, seems you’re been watched for a reason”

“and what could that be?” i hate it when i’m confused.

“well, from what i can see, your laptop and some files were missing when you arrived from your date” i nodded affirmative.

“And” he continued “The cash that was beside your laptop was still intact,…man i tell you, this aint no thief” he finalised with so great certainty that even i know it aint no thief.

That even scared me more –

The ugly mails i recieved, gifts, missing items, its all wierd very wierd.

“so what do we do now”

Thats the next thing right?…finding a solution to every problem.

“For now, you lie low and watch your back also watch out for unusual happenings that occurs almost everytime in a place.”

That sounded like the solution for other things, i’m more concered about my laptop and file – its got 80% of all of the company’s database, files, investments on it also , the new project we’re working on!

D–n it.

“Tony, my laptop and file, thats a little wierd dont you think?…it shows thats all they wanted”

” oh well then yes, we wait for them to come again.”

Tony stayed around making calls to people , going about the house and after an hour, he left.

I looked at my dog, his ears were down- its not alright, he knows.

I called him to the couch to snuggle with me.

Well, i got a tiny rope and i attached the button sparrow had earlier and i slung it round his neck –

“one day we will nab the bad guys, like we always do”

My dog tilted his face to look at me and i could tell he smiled…
