(Before the wedding)

Life is s full of surprises, just when you think you’ve got everything figured out and planned, Fate had to interfere bringing your whole planned out life crashing down your head, well that’s life for you.

My name’s Justin and I live in ? Newyork with my parents, when I was little, I always wanted to be an actor and I was the best actor in the school plays and drama, everyone loved my acting, I imagined myself being a great actor one day but as I said Fate had to interfere!

Presently in this stage of my life, My life didn’t go as planned, I’m not an actor but just a stage decorator in the theater, my job is to construct and make things and objects used in the play, through this process, I acquired the skill of carpentry, its not much but it will be useful someday.

My salary is $120 dollars a month, that is $30 dollars every week, its not a bad payment if you ask me cause at least I get to pay rent and also get to afford three square meal a day, despite being a stage decorator, I do enjoy working in the theater, I love watching the actors and actresses as they perform their acts and they sure do a marvelous job at it, I just wish I could do the tryouts someday and show people what I can do, I still love to be an actor.

But as all good things, there’s a bad side aspect of the theater, All the actors, directors and actresses engage in sexual escapades, Well its good to have sex once in a while but these people do it rampantly when they’re not working and another worst thing is that they also take drugs before the plays or acting to keep them active which is bad and dangerous, I could expose them but if I do, the police will close down the theater and I will be jobless, so to be on the safe side, I had to keep my mouth shut.

So one day after work, I decided to go straight home to rest, the day was so tiring and exhausting as I reached home, my mom Maria was waiting for me at the doorstep, She usually visits me and brings me her special apple pie, I gave her a warm hug welcoming her, I opened the door and we both went in.

Maria Justin my baby, are you alright?

Justin I’m fine mom, How’s dad?

.

Maria Your dads fine, son you look awful.

.

Justin Its nothing mom, just work.

.

Maria Its Nothing?!?, son you look miserable, a fine young man like you shouldn’t be like this.

.

Justin Mom, I told you, I’m fine.

.

Maria Look son, you need a time off, rest and hangout with friends and meet gorgeous ladies.

.

Justin Mom please, enough okay! I just want to be left alone.

.

Maria Okay son, but please don’t ruin your life, Ok?

Justin Alright mom.

Maria Good night, oh…. That reminds me, here’s your favorite pie, enjoy!

Justin Thanks mom, Good night.

Poor mom always worrying about me, she’s always supported me in whatever I did and prayed for my well being, She always did everything in her power to please me and I don’t want her worrying about me, I’m fine with the way I am, I closed my door and took to apple pie to my room to watch Tom cruise’s “Mission impossible” as I watch the movie, I wondered how my life would have been if I was an actor? Maybe I could as famous as Tom cruise, live in a luxurious house and surrounded by paparazzi and sexy ladies and finally settling down with the perfect woman to start a family.

As I was deep in my imagination, a call went through my phone, It was Kevin my number 6, He and I we’re best friends since grade school and we stayed in touch through out the years, He’s a cop in the Newyork police department.

Justin Hey Kevin, sup?

Kevin Justin you handsome devil, how’s the acting career going?

Justin You crazy joker, you know I’m not an actor!

.

Kevin Yes but who knows, dreams still come through.

.

Justin Yeah, so how’s your police work?

.

Kevin Its cool besides I get to bust drug dealers and the fun part is, there’s another extra cash involved.

Justin You crooked cop! So what’s up with the call?

.

Kevin You remember Harry clump?

.

Justin Harry? The guy that eats his nostrils?

.

Kevin Yeah, he’s getting married to Emily potts.

.

Justin Emily potts? Holy mother Teresa herself?

.

Kevin Yes, they’re both getting married and they’re inviting the whole school gang to their wedding, they even asked for you.

Justin Really? I’m touched….. Wait did you say everyone is coming?

.

Kevin Yes, everyone including your nemesis, Rashida!

.

Justin What??? I can’t believe they invited her?

.

Kevin Well, she’s coming, so you better brace yourself, I heard she’s quite rich now.

Justin dude, I don’t care, I hate her.

.

Kevin Well, see you at the wedding, I’ll send you the invitation card.

Justin Bye.

I ended the call ? after that, I couldn’t believe it, Rashida is coming to the wedding? Unbelievable, for those of you who don’t know, Rashida is my childhood nemesis, She’s been a real pain in my ass for so long as I can remember, She’s spoiled, snobby and makes awful remarks about my acting and she’s accused me of things I haven’t done, the main reason why I hate her is because she attracts boys and make them do her bidding, she sprouts around like a peacock thinking she’s beautiful, I just hate her so much, We’ve fought several times, even during our graduation day in high school, in which we ended up both humiliating ourselves and we haven’t seen each other since then, Well, let’s just hope I don’t get to meet her cause if we do, It will be a disaster ?.
