The day had come for me to show people what I was born to do, I spent those three days watching Theater shows and drama acts, I was determined to be the best and finally get what I deserve.

I didn’t have time to hang out with anyone including Anna, but we did stay in touch often she always sent me funny messages and jokes which made me crack silly, I really missed her, its a good thing I didn’t listen to Kevin, Some women can’t be trusted but Anna was different, she was special and as soon as I get this gig and finally become an actor, She and I will travel to the Caribbean to enjoy ourselves.

So after I did my morning exercise, I took my bath, had my breakfast and went off to work to grab my ticket to fame and fortune.

The morning air was great, wind felt good passing through my hair, I exchanged pleasantries with people giving them a lovely smile. Today was going to be great, I could feel in it my bones.

As I was about to cross the traffic when I bumped into a stunning lady, her bag fell and the contents were on the ground, she sure has a great figure.

Marcy Its okay, its my fault I wasn’t watching where I was……. Justin!!!

Rashida again? Why is everyone talking about her? Can’t I talk to my old friends without that b—h’s name mentioned. Well, I just have get used to it, since we may probably get to meet in the wedding.

Marcy Well, she’s great, looks like you’re going to meet once again huh?

Justin Yeah, uhm, I need to get to work cause I’m getting late….. So till we meet?

D–n, Marcy sure looks stunning, Back in high school she was the gossip queen in the school, she always find a way to know your secret and once she knows it, the whole world will know about it, High school was sure great, well looks like we’re all going to have a reunion at the wedding!

I crossed the road and hurried off to work.

I finally reached the theater and to my surprise there was a long queue, A lot of people want to do the tryouts of the audition, Looks like its going to be a heck of the competition but I don’t mind.

I went into the theater and straight to the men’s locker and changed into my usual clothes, Jerry came in looking weary, he yawned hard, stretching himself to a great length.

Justin D–n, jerry you look beat!

Jerry Yeah man, I couldn’t sleep last night, I found out my babe was cheating on me!

Justin Woah, sorry man….

.

Jerry Don’t worry, besides I’m glad I knew this earlier, cause I was planning to marry her and if I hadn’t found out the damage would have been great.

Justin Well, I hope you find another.

Jerry Well, I hope not, women are snakes, they’re the reason why mankind was kicked down to earth from paradise, and as long as I live, I’ll never trust another woman.

Justin Come on man, not all women are like that.

Jerry Yo, betrayal is in their blood, no matter how you much you care or love that, they’ll always betray you in the end.

Justin Wow…… Well let’s get to work, today is the day.

Jerry Yeah, I hope you get the audition man, you sure deserve it.

We left the men’s locker room and went to our stations, The movie scout talent hasn’t arrive so we had to wait before allowing people to get in, After an hour, She finally came, she sure doesn’t look like a Hollywood type cause she looked simple, and from her appearance, I could say she was about 28 or 29 years of age, she walked in slowly holding some files, Marcus as usual made his way towards her, complimenting on how good she looks and how she honored his theater, F—–g pig, If my guess was right, I think he wants to get laid with her!

She didn’t give him the attention he needed, and went to her sit, a few minutes later, the theater door was opened and people poured into the place like flood. There were murmurs and talks filled the place it took a while before the place was quiet.

After that the show began, one by one people came and did what they could do and not all of them were bad, some were weird, some were funny and some were boring, The Hollywood lady watched the people attentively taking notes.

This audition went on for hours and it was getting tiresome, Some people that were watching the Audition started to leave, the stuff was no longer interesting. I noticed the lady wasn’t served anything to eat or drink, considering how long she sat watching this people, I’ll say she needed something to ease the tension.

I went of the the theater and went to a nearby Mart and bought some soda and a burger for her, it wasn’t much but it was the least I could do, I soon went back to the theater to relieve the lady of her tension.

There were a lot of people in my way but I managed to get to the lady and drop off the snack, as I reached there, Marcus was eyeing me in an unfriendly way.

Marcus Justin what are you doing here?

Justin Just trying to see if the lady needs anything.

Marcus As you can see she’s busy.

Alexis Marcus, what’s going on?

Marcus Nothing Mrs Alexis, my employee here is been a nuisance.

Alexis Hey you! What are you doing here?

Justin Sorry miss, you’ve been sitting here for hours and I know it must be stressful for you, so I decided to see if you need anything else.

Alexis Thanks for your concern, infact I’m quite famished.

Justin Well, lucky for you, I bought some snack for you, its not much but I hope it will be enough.

I Gave her the snack and went back to my usual spot, Marcus was furious and angry about what I did, the attention he worked hard to get didn’t work out but here I was having Alexis’s attention.

I went back to where I was, watching the Audition, waiting for my turn , Jerry sat close to me gulping down a drink as he watched the show.

Jerry Everyone wants to be a superstar!

Justin Yeah! But its worth it.

Jerry No its not..

Jerry I don’t know about a entertainment life but I do know one thing, the life of a celebrity especially actors, is a total shit, even if one of these people gets the audition, there’s a 95percent chance that they’ll never get to be in a movie, besides there are a lot of actors out there who have been in a movie once some haven’t even see the camera roll on them, and if you’re a actor, you won’t have the privacy you need, Camera men and tabloids will be following everywhere you go and not to mention, even if you work your ass doing a lot of movies, you may never get the chance to be nominated for the academy awards.

The past few days wasn’t going good for me but I wasn’t going to let it drag me down from having fun, Today is my birthday and I will enjoy myself to the full.

I took a leave from work to celebrate my birthday, I invited my friends for the big bash, and after that, Edward and I are going to have a rocking night.

I was in my house, deciding which clothes to wear, when Marcy came in, she sure looks excited, I wonder what’s exciting her? Maybe she found a new lover, crazy b—h.

Marcy and I went to work, I went to the saloon and got my hair done, my nails polished and had a sauna and a spa, it was great,.

Marcy did the shopping while I did the beauty makeover on myself, by the time I was done, everything had been prepared and the party began.

People came to my birthday bash, enjoying themselves with food and drink, most of my friends came too, after the crowd had gathered I decided to show into the spotlight, and as I emerged, people in the party was fascinated on how gorgeous I looked especially the guys, I loved being the center of attention, none of the ladies could match my style and glamour.

As I went around exchanging pleasantries, I noticed my parents weren’t there so I decided to call and see why they didn’t show.

Rita Sorry darling but your father and I decided to go shopping to Paris!

Rashida What? But its my birthday, your daughters birthday and you skipped it because of some stupid shopping in Paris.

Rashida What? Why? I can’t allow them to come and ruin my party! They’ve been doing that since we were kids.

She hung up before, I could even blast her, and to make things more annoying, my brother and cousin showed up.

To be frank, we weren’t always like this back we were kids, but things changed when that D–k! Justin showed up, my brother and Justin became best buddies and did almost everything together and Maria had a huge crush on the creep, since then we became……… Distant.

Justin again? As soon as I heard his name, I left the place for them to talk. I won’t let them ruin my happy moment.

The party went on for some time and everyone else was having fun with their partners except me, Edward was suppose to show but he still didn’t come, I tried calling his number but he didn’t pick, as I was dialing his number, I saw something that made me boil with anger.

It was that African b—h, Kevin’s w—e in my party, who the hell gave her an invite? I didn’t invite Kevin so there’s no way She’ll be here without him, so I went to confront her.

Out of anger, I took one of the pies and threw it at the black b—h, but she was quick to dodge, and the pie landed on Maria, Maria surprised turned around and saw the projectile of the throw coming towards me, she didn’t wait long to retaliate, she dug her hands on my birthday cake and threw the thing at me but I dodge as well but it landed on someone else and that was how the food fight started, people began to throw stuff at each other some were exchanging blows with one another and I was among, I got my hands full with that Omotola b—h, we pulled hairs, pinched and bit one another, the b—h was strong but so was I, we fought and fought up to the point we were almost stripping and tearing our clothes, those that weren’t fighting enjoyed the show between Omotola and I.

Minutes later, everyone left the party which had ended in Disaster, the house was a mess and no one stayed to help me clean the house.

I knew inviting those two was a jinx, they always find a way to ruin my moment, even when they don’t intend to. All the money I spent on the party and to look fashionable was a waste, I went to the toilet and bathe my sorrows, cleaning all the stains on my body, after that I went back to bed, the worst birthday ever!

Edward later came back, he looked like he was in cloud 9,he came in humming a song, he didn’t even bother to ask about the place and what happened!

Edward Sorry i came late babe, I had to deal with some issues at work, so since I was late, I decided to buy you your birthday gift , here take this, happy birthday.

He dropped the package and left the house , What was happening to him and us? Something is weird about Edward, that’s not how I knew him to be, I grabbed the present and opened it, it was an iPhone 12, I didn’t care about the f—–g gift, I wanted someone to care for me and hold me when I’m alone and for the first time in my life, I felt lonely that night, it was like everything and everyone was rejecting me, I took the phone and threw it away from me, I don’t need a d–n phone, I needed company.

There was about 3 people ahead of me before mine turn came so I went to the locker room and rehearsed, and as I was doing my bit, Marcus came into the room with a wicked grin on his face.

Justin What is it?

Marcus You know what I like about you? Well let me tell you, I like seeing you work your ass from morning till evening for me just to get paid. And i love to see that miserable look on your face as you get tired and weary.

Justin Are you done? Cause I have an audition to do!

Marcus Well, there’s a problem to that….. You see you won’t be participating in that audition.

.

Justin Bullshit, i’m doing this walks away

Marcus Take another step, and you’re fired!!!

I couldn’t believe this guy, was he really going to fire me? Why? This was my chance, an opportunity to finally get what I’ve always dreamed of and now some p—k is standing on the way.

Justin You think this will stop me from going to the audition?

.

Marcus Yes and even if you go to that stupid audition, are you sure you’ll even get chosen? Hummm?

And that was it! I stood motionless, and the ultimate bastard was right, if I go out there, I get fired and even if I do the audition, I may not get picked! Game over, no job no getting to be an actor, back to square one to the unemployment zone.

I bit my lips hard in anger, crunching my knuckles as if to punch the bastard out of this world.

I left the room and went back to my usual spot, fuming in anger, why was this happening to me, why? What did I do to deserve this? Out of frustration, I punched the wall hard bruising my hand, it was painful but it wasn’t as painful as being forced to watch as your dreams pass you by in front of you.

Hours later, when the audition was over, No one was picked, Alexis was disappointed wasting all those hours without any good results, She didn’t even wait for Marcus to start sprouting nonsense to her face, she left immediately after the show was over.

Jerry and I had to stay and clean the place, it wasn’t a mess but we had to do it anyway.

Since I didn’t get what I wanted, I decided to go to Marcus’s office and ask for a raise, cause we do more work than our regular quota.

As I reached his office, I heard moans in his office, the f—–g pig was shagging a lady, I went in without knocking on his door.

Immediately he saw me, he pushed the lady and tried to adjust himself.

Justin Sorry to intrude but I’m here for something very important.

Marcus What is it?

Justin Well, we’ve been doing some work that is way beyond our quota and I want you to give us a raise in our allowance.

Marcus Unbelievable, okay, I’ll give you your raise. You’re fired!!

Justin What? You can’t do that!

.

Marcus I just did, besides I’m tired of you, so get the f–k out of my office, loser as you can see I’m busy.

Was the guy for real? He made me lost my opportunity and now he dares to fire me? Just for asking for a raise! And to make things worst, he calls me a loser , this insult and humiliation was enough.

I grabbed his chair and descended it upon him, the lady he was banging took to her heels, I grabbed the bastard and gave him a good beating till he was unconscious.

After that, I packed my stuff and left, jerry also quit when I told him everything that happened.

Why was my life like this? I haven’t done anything to deserve this why! I went home and locked myself in lamenting on my misfortune.

Days passed, and it was miserable I was unemployed, i didn’t go out to look for job, with the little money I had in my account, I used it to sustain myself, My phone was filled with texts and calls but I didn’t bother to check, what was the point? My life was a mess, I had no purpose and my dream was lost.

I tried to calm myself thinking everything was going to be alright but I couldn’t I was restless. I tried call Anna but she wasn’t answering, so I decided to check if she was okay, though I may not have a job but I had some people who cared for me and that was what mattered.

I went to her house to see if she was around and as luck would have it, she was.

I knocked at her do waiting for her to open, it took a while before she opened the door, as she came out she immediately closed the door behind her.

She looked rough, and from the look on her face there was fear and shock, it was like she wasn’t expecting me here.

Justin Hey….. You look beat.

Anna Yeah, I had a rough night, I couldn’t sleep.

Justin Oh..

Anna What’s wrong?

.

Justin I got fired last week. I’m jobless now.

.

Anna I’m sorry…

Justin Sorry, I couldn’t call you because I was sad, but now I’m here and I really miss you.

Anna Yeah,…… Can you come back later?

.

Justin Why?

.

Right in that moment, Anna’s name was called from within and it was a male’s voice, She stood close to her door pretending as if nothing happened!

Justin Who’s that calling you?

Anna Uhm, its my brother.

Justin Really?

.

Just then her so called brother came out with a towel around his waist, he grabbed her waist and fondled as her right in front of me, Just what the hell was going on? Was Anna cheating on me? I couldn’t comprehend what was going on? Everything happened so fast and the only thing ringing in my head was Kevin’s voice,

*She’s a fake, ditch the b—h”

I looked at her face and she quickly turned away with shame. So all this time I was thinking about her as the only best thing that ever happened to me, she was been banged by some punk, besides was this her first time? I wonder how many guys she’s betrayed?

Justin Anna, what’s the meaning of this? I thought we had a thing going!

Anna I’m sorry Justin…… I..

.

Justin Sorry, really? How could you? If you didn’t want to be with me you could have just told me to my face and I’ll never bother you again.

You’re such a b—h! God I hate you, I curse the day I met you.

Edward Anna who’s the loser?

.

Edward A loser, besides she had to look for a better man, since you can’t deliver, money wins not love, that is why she has her lips around my d–k.

The words were too much to bear, I wanted to punch him but he was right, Kevin was right, I was the fool to believe in love at first sight and if I was rich, I could get any lady I wanted, This is the game of gamble, winner takes all and the loser goes home empty handed and I was the loser, no job, no love, no nothing!

I left the house, feeling sorry for myself but I learnt something, that is next time I won’t be the loser, I won’t be the second fiddle and I won’t be the last one hanging.
