Eriola

Ayo’s home town was interesting ,I must confess,she’s got a good family members,you all need to witness the way she was welcomed, especially by her mother,she was so happy to see her daughter ,I knew that from her behavior,I mean why would she be crying when she sees her daughter,isn’t that tears of joy,I love that family and I wish I had a family too

I didn’t fall from heaven,I use to have parents but I lost them in an accident,I still remember how it happened ,yes yes

We were at home happily one faithful afternoon when my dad had decided to take us out on trip ,yes,we left the house that very day and we moved along the street with my dad’s red car,that was all I remembered until I found myself on the hospital bed been plastered on my head,I was the only one on the bed and I stayed there for weeks until I was told I lost my family

Ever since then , have been into streets from street ,I don’t have a home,I hawk things to survive ,I wasn’t that small to forget things then,yes,I was 10years old when it happened,I missed my brothers but there were no where to be found again,they are dead like I was told

9 months later

Chioma

These pains are too much for me to bear , doctor please do cs for me

“Just calm down madam” push , doctor said

I can’t push any further ,am weak,I want to drink water ,I said in a weak tone..

I am so weak and tired to push,I never knew labouring will be this hard, if I had known,I wouldn’t have gotten pregnant

“Smiles,madam,you will still do more,just deliver this first ”

I pushed harder with force and I noticed something stucked in between my laps

“Don’t close your laps ,madam,push,the baby is coming out”

Hmmm,hmmm,I opened my eyes more widely and the baby came out like a mouse that ran out of the hole,I felt relief ,God thank you

Am now a mother

Months after

Ayomide

I felt a sharp pain at my back .

Eriola, Eriola,I shouted her name repeatedly but to no avail,I can’t stand up,am in pains ,

It’s been 20 minutes without rescue,I fell on the floor crawling with my one side,I tried to reach for the door after a tiredness crawling

Black out

I opened my eyes and found myself at the hospital bed,I raised my head a lil bit and I saw I was placed under emergency with the help of oxygen,I wanted to make signal of calls but my body are

I can’t just sit down ,whats happening to Ayo,God please let her deliver safely,I stood at the window side looking through to see if I can talk to Ayo but she is not opening her eyes,we’ve been here since three days and she’s not opening her eyes nor take anything aside drip ,God let me not mourn over Ayo oo

I think I should just take out of this hospital..

Don’t be surprised,doctor has tried cesarian but the blades ain’t penetrating, probably her mother did Cutlass proof for her,I don’t understand

..

I was allowed to take Ayo home after many trial that prove abortive ,have been given her home treatment, not by myself but by one concotion mother down our street

My God who have I offended,I don’t deserve this,these pains are too much to bear,have carried this pregnancy for year and now ,am labouring for weeks without result,isn’t this too much ,i can’t go to my mother,I don’t want her to know I was pregnant,the last time I went home was to lied to her as a cover up of the pregnancy, I told her I was going to do my nysc in another state ,God if it’s the sun of my parents , forgive me and if it’s the sun of myself,God please forgive me ….

I raised up my eyes to see Eriola crying

Eriola,I managed to call her as I signal her to come close

“Ayo,what did you want” crying
