“oh God what a life am i living? How i wish sucide is not a sin i would have taken my life, but the life am living is not my own” i said to myself as i was stairing at myself on the mirror as i use a towel and hot water to press my swolen body?

“let me go get some food in the kitchen” i said to my self as i make a move when i got to my door i heard my stepmum conversating on phone with an unknow caller : “hello dear don’t worry everything will soon be over, am going to elinimate her as soon as he the posion i gave him before he travel am sure it won’t be long anymore, then when all these is done we are going to claim all of his property and live as one again”

I heard her say those words to the caller on the phone

“so she poisoned my dad and she’s planning to kill me this can’t be i better do something” i said to my self in anger

“i can’t ran from my father’s house” i said to my self with courage

“enough is enough” i said further as i sat on my bed and keep thinking

“amanda! amanda!” my step mum call me, i came out from my room and went to knw what she need

“amanda take these money go and get medicine down the street” she said as she brought out 500 naira from her bag

“where is victoria” i asked her.

“who are you to ask me that” she replied

“am amanda” i said with courage and continue; “if you can’t send victoria then you go your self and get the medicine your self okay” i said to her while i walked away fron her,

she drag me back and raise her hand to slap me but i caught her hand on the air and told her “enough is enough sandra”

she was shocked as i called her by her name

“are you crazy?” she asked;

“no sandra am not maybe is time i become strong like a mother lion ready to protect her cub’s so should i be ready to stop whosoever will stand on my way okay” i said to her as i look at her in her eye ball and continue “by the way that question should be for you not me”

she was speechless all the while, she keep stairing at me as i walk away from her. when i was finaly out of her sight she called out for victoria “victoria…..victoria”

victoria came down from her room; “yes aunty you called me”; said victoria

“um yes help me get something from the chemist down the street” said my step mum

“what of amanda? why don’t you send her?” asked victoria

“amanda is not arround now i set her to the tailor at the next street so help me get it” she said as she gave victoria the money

“oh ooo am tired oh” victoria said as she colleted the money and left angrily.

i kept on laughing in my room “it payback time am not more the amanda you people use to know, i make sure i make the house misrable for you agonies in my paradise” i said to my self as i laugh and keep on laughing.

Few minutes latter, victoria came back with the medicine and handed it over to her sister

“aunty you won’t belive what i saw with my eyes” victoria said

“comon tell me dear what did you see” my step mum said as she pay attention to what she was going to say,

“i saw amanda with one other guy on the street they were chating” victoria lied,

“are you……..” my step mum was about to talk when i cut in from no where.

“which amanda?” i asked her,

The both of them was shocked cause they weren’t expecting a third party in their conversation.

“vickky tell me which amanda did you see, hmm, so u do enjoy cooking lies so i can get beaten right?” i asked her

“aaa…man” my step mum was trying to talk but i shunned her ” heyyyy if you dere complete my name from your mouth eh, what i will do to both of you eh, it seem they will send ambulance to come and carry you two” i said in anger and continue “look victoria let me tell you loud and clear never and ever in your misrable life cook lies against me alright, if not i will cast you out of my building do you understand me?” i ask in a couragous way

“yes” she nodded her head postively

“now you will wash the plate today cause am not doing any thing in these house today full stop” i said and concluded my words and walk away

My step mum was speechless and wonder what has came over me.
