Episode 5

Klarissa’s POV

As soon as I walked into the English classroom for the first period of the day, I instinctively searched the room for Lily.

When I didn’t see her, I assumed that she wasn’t in my class. I couldn’t lie, it disappointed me. I was hoping to see her in some of my classes.

But I was in class C for English, and it didn’t surprise me that Lily was probably smarter than me, in a higher graded class.

“Welcome year 10 to today’s English class. I will be your teacher for the next forty-five minutes.” I rolled my eyes. Mr Jensen was a pain in the ass.

“Today we will be studying more dystopian stories to help you with your own dystopian writing…”

Not more boring novels.

School continued to be a spiral of never ending information being rammed into our brains to never be used ever again except to get average grades in a class.

“Oh my god his dick,” Kiara cooed. Her and Sarah were practically drooling while telling me every single last detail of their time with Daryl.

We were sitting at our usual lunch table underneath a tree on the oval, and a pleasant breeze was the only thing good about this situation.

“I really don’t want to know about his dick. Or how good he was to have sex with,” I said.

“You really missed out, Klarissa. You should have come.” Sarah said, playing with her long hair.

Nor did they know. I could think of nothing worse than a boy touching me.

“He was the best guy I’ve ever had sex with. He just knew how to do it. Best orgasm I’ve ever had,” Kiara said.

“I know right.” Sarah said enthusiastically.

“I’d let him do it again any time,”

“TMI,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“I really don’t wanna know,”

“You’re just jealous.” Kiara said, laughing.

“I bet that hearing about our experience has made you regret your decision. Too bad. Maybe he’ll ask you personally one time,” Kiara laughed.

“But look at her, Kiara.” Sarah said. “She’s not the kind of girl he would choose to root,”

“It’s because I’m not fake, right?” I asked.

“Thank god. He can leave me alone then,”

“Oh honey, I think he only likes pretty girls. Doesn’t matter whether they’re real or fake.” Sarah said, batting her eyelashes.

My blood was boiling, but I attempted to keep my cool. There was no use blowing up about it.

“But for real, have you seriously never had sex before?” Kiara asked.

“Because, if not, you’re missing out,” Sarah continued.

“No. I’ve never had sex. I don’t want to any time soon. Especially not with guys like Daryl,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“So you don’t want to have sex, and you don’t find a guy as hot as Daryl attractive. You’re a lesbian,” Kiara said, laughing, as if it was a big joke.

Sarah cracked up, as if ‘lesbian’ was such a hilarious word.

They must’ve seen the look on my face, because Sarah patted my shoulder, smiling.

“I’m sorry honey. That was an awful accusation. You know we’re just joking, right? We don’t think you’re a lesbian,”

That’s when I decided that I never wanted to see them again.

“I’m going to the toilet,” I lied, walking off to see if I could find Lily.

My “friendship” with Kiara and Sarah ended now.
