Cristine’s Pov:

He winked at me grinning wickedly.

I exhaled deeply as I looked around in confusion.

How the hell did he get into my house?

I was so shocked but I had to control myself.

“What are you doing here James?” I asked huskily

He laughed harder and that anger me the more.

“Won’t my loving wife let me in?” He smiled devilishly at me as I scoffed.

“Your wife indeed! I ask you again what are you doing in my house?” I asked again

“Aren’t you glad to see your long lost husband” He said mockingly

I hissed loudly.

“Oh sorry to burst your bubble dear hubby,,,,, I am not glad to see you cos to me you’re nothing but a piece of garbage that I trashed a long time ago” I laughed.

His face countenance changed immediately.

Those words got to him….

That’s what I actually wanted.

He rubbed his eyes.

“Cristine I still care for you” He said as I stared at him for sometime before breaking the silence with a mocking laughter.

“Oh really?” I sighed

“Cristine am very sorry for everything that….” He said but I quickly cut in.

“Your apologizes are totally worthless Mr James…. Get your fvcking a5s outta my house else I will call the cops and charge you for trespassing” I said angrily.

“Cristine please listen to….” He tried saying

“It’s late Mr James and I advise you to get out of my house just the same way you sneaked in,,,,, Anything contrary to that, might end up really bad” I said meanly.

“Cristine am very sorry for all I’ve done to…” He said again.

“Good night Mr James…” I said as I shut the door on his face.

That fool….

How did he even get into my house?

He got some nerves to think I will listen to his cooked up lies….

I just hope I never see him again.

“Are you for real girl?” Dani shouted out as I packed my files into the drawer carefully.

“You won’t believe it! As late as 11pm” I sneered

“Why did you not call the police and have that criminal locked up for sneaking into your house without permission?” Daniella rolled her eyes.

“You know I just hope he goes far away from me….. His face alone makes me so annoyed” I gnashed my teeth.

“That James is such a pest…. After all he did to you, he still had the guts to face you” Dani said

“I hate him with passion” I said angrily

“Anyways that apart! Did you get the reports from the embassy?” Dani asked

“Oh fvck! I forgot to that” I screamed as I searched for the documents.

Dani laughed loudly.

“I can’t believe my workaholic girlfriend forgot to arrange the reports….” She mocked

“She’s no more workaholic… She’s got a love life to build” I said as we shared a laugh.

Andrew’s Pov:

I walked to the jewelry section of the mall.

I really need pure gold for this….

My eyes caught with the shiny ring on the other show glass.

“Beautiful” I muttered under my breath.

“Miss how much is this?” I asked pointing at it.

“Five hundred dollars sir… That’s gold! It’s expensive” She said as my face beamed with smiles.

“Yeah… Let me have that!” I said as I quickly paid for the ring.

The lady handed the box of ring to me with a smile.

“Good luck sir! Please do invite me to your wedding” She chuckled

I smiled warmly at her.

“Of course” I nodded.

“I know she must be a very beautiful lady…. I know that cos you’re handsome as well! Take care sir” She said as I giggled.

“Thanks.. You too” I said as I walked out of the mall.

“Such a talkative” I laughed within myself.

I stared at the golden ring box again and smiled.

I hope she likes it.

I quickly hopped into my car and drove off.

I picked up my cell phone and texted her.

“So my friend is finally planning to settle down?” Dennis laughed as he gulped down the last content of the whisky from the glass.

I smiled at him.

“Of course… I know she’s the one” I smiled

“You know Andy! Mere looking at her, you will be able to figure out that she’s a very nice person… No doubt!” He said

“I know right?” I giggled

“That reminds me, I saw Sofie last week… She’s in town” Dennis said as I sighed

“I don’t freaking care” I said less concerned

“So you’ve finally gotten over her” Dennis shook his head.

“She’s dead to me! Crisy changed everything” I said confidently

“I wish you all the best man! I thank God you didn’t end up with that uppity bi+ch Sofie” He said as we shared a laugh.

“I know you never liked her…” I laughed out

“Yeah I never did…” Dennis confessed

“She’s all a past now” I said as we shook hands.

Cristine’s Pov:

I was almost done for the day and ready to go when Dani rushed into my office panting heavily.

“Crisy! Crisy!!” She called panting

I became very scared.

“Dani? What happened?’ I asked anxiously dropping my handbag on the table immediately.

“It’s… It’s….” She stuttered

“It’s who? What are you talking about?” I asked eagerly.

“It’s Andy…. Andrew” She finally said

“Andrew? My Andy? What happened to him?” I asked in more anxiety.

I breathed heavily….

“He’s… He’s.. In fact come with me and see for yourself” She said dragging me along.

I quickly rushed off with her.

We rushed out of the office building with my heart skipping.

I looked out and saw him lying on the bare ground with crowds beside him.

My jaw dropped in shock.

I quickly rushed to him on the ground

“Babe? Babe??” I shook him vigorously in tears already.

“Call the ambulance… Why are you all just staring?” I screamed crazily.

But suddenly, he quickly stood up to my amazement and went on his knees.

With an opened ring box in his hand.

“Cristine will you be my lady forever ??” He asked with a smile.

Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks as I stared around in surprise….
