Episode 44

Xander’s Pov

I look at the people, who are staring back at us. My body fills with pride knowing I have my people and My Queen, beside me now. Finally. I exhale with relief. I can feel Lexi’s heart thumping wildly in her chest and I’m sure others can hear it also.

Anticipation. I can smell the sense the thick coat of anticipation over her.

” Today, you are gather here to welcome and meet your Queen.” My voice booms across the yard, gaining-demanding attention. I won’t let anyone disrespect me and if anyone disrespect their Queen, they disrespect me. 2

” I want all of you to respect her, respect her decisions, respect her wishes. If anyone of you disrespect her, they directly disrespect me! She is your Queen,your leader. You have to cherish her, love her. But if anyone of you harm her in anyway they have to answer me.” I glare at everyone to make my point.

“Any objections?” I ask them in formality but honestly if anyone objects they have to deal with me. Alexandra tenses up in my side.

One hand raises among the crowd and I smirk in sadistic amusement.

Okay then.

” Please step up.” From the corner of my eye, I see Matt walking up the stage again but standing at far distance from me. He better stays away from me or- 18

“uhm-” Ah I know him. Isaac, about 40 years old, working in my company.

“Oh Isaac? You have objection? Interesting. Let us hear that.” He looks at me with wide eyes before he shakes his head.

“No. Not objection…” I raise an eyebrow in his direction.

“Actually, I have a question.” I tilt my head, nodding my head for him to go on.

“I mean- I- We can smell- I mean- sense that our Queen is human. How can she live among us? I mean she can! But won’t it be dangerous?” His eyes flicker towards Alexandra and I growl at him, my eyes flashing between black and grey.

They better keep their paws and teeth to their selves or I won’t hesitate in ripping them out! 15

A hand clasps on my shoulder, gripping it. I turn my head, my eyes locking with Harrison. A silent conversation pass between us before I take a deep breath in.

“It is her decision-only her own- whether she wants to become like us or not. But I can assure you she will never disappoint or let anyone down. She will take care of you. But God help me if anyone of you even touches her, I will tear your arms out.” I complete my sentence calmly.

“And if she decides to stay human then it is your duty to protect her from harm instead of causing it to her. Can I rely on my people to do as I say? To protect her? To respect her? To not let her-let me down?” I add looking at everyone, making sure I make eye contact with each of them. 1

To make someone listen to you, you have to keep eye contact. It’s the most important part of the conversation. 35

A soft hum and murmur spreads across the environment, everyone nodding their head. Isaac steps forward again with his head held high.

“I promise you, King. I will protect our Queen, respect her and never let her or you down in doing so.” I smile at him, my first genuine smile, they have ever seen on my face. Following him, others step forward also, speaking their assurances.

I notice, Alexandra, who was standing still before relaxes, releasing a sigh under her breath. I look down at her at the same time she looks at me.

Her eyes shine with happiness and relief, her lips turn into a beautiful smile. I grin at her.

“Now tell me, was that hard?” I whisper near her ear. She shakes her head, sighing again, smiling widely. I wink at her before looking back at the people

again.

“So now I, King Xander Knight, introduces you to your Queen, Alexandra Shine Ronald, to welcome her, respect her with all honesty. So do you accept her?” My voice becomes louder and clearer as everyone hums in excitement before a chorus of voices, rings in my ears.

“We do!” Laila claps her hands happily, jumping up and down.

I turn towards Lexi,my sweet sweet Queen.

“Do you,Alexandra Shine Ronald, accept me as your King and accept them as their Queen, to take care of us, make decisions that will not harm us and think for their-our betterment?” I ask her softly, never breaking eye contact with her. 13

I know what I am asking her but I have my faith on her. It is not an easy job to rule the kingdom of bunch of blood thirsty, crazy vampires but I know she can do this, perfectly fine.

Everyone stare at her, silently, patiently, waiting for her reply. I see a flicker of worry, fear washes over her eyes before she closes her eyes taking deep breath.

“I do.”

And with that whisper, the deal is sealed. I puff my chest out, smiling brightly before leaning down to kiss her.

But a throat clearing halts me. We look at Nicholson, who has taken his place behind us,looking at me nervousness. 1

“You can’t do that now.” He says unsurely. My jaw clenches and I straighten up.

“And why not?”

“The wedding. Uh-” I grin at her, finally getting what he meant. He looks at me weirdly.

What? I narrow my eyes at him.

“Let’s get started!” Jennifer exclaims holding a tray with red silk cloth on it. On it, are two wedding bands.

Shit! I’m going to tear up.

“Ahem.” I look at Lexi who is looking uncertainly at Nicholson.

“He is going to…” She trails off and I chuckle.

“Yes. He is going to wed us.”

“O-kay.” She replies taking a pause between ‘O’ and ‘kay’.

“Let’s marry now!” I exclaim happily and Lexi giggles with tears forming in her eyes. 6

“Just happy tears. I will make sure you cry only happy tears.” I whisper taking her face in my palms, kissing her forehead making her sigh.

Alexandra’s Pov:

“Do you still want to do this?” He whispers, his lips skimming over my naked shoulder before pulling back slightly. His hands trailing over my bare waist. 33

I look up at him through tired and hooded eyes, biting my lip as his eyes roam over my body with lust. Our chest falling up and down in heavy breaths. 3

His body presses me further into the bed, groaning at the feel of my naked body rubbing against his.

I trace my hands over his arms to his shoulders, crossing my arms over his neck. He leans down trailing kisses from my throat to neck and down.. down.

I moan from the sensation, my back bent pressing myself closer to him.

“Do you still want to do this, Alexandra?” He repeats again through gritted teeth, trying to control himself, the veins looking taut in his neck. His black eyes stare at me, the canines poking out from his lips.

And I am not scared. Not of him.

Without thinking twice, I moan the word that sealed down my fate as he slams one last time into me while he snuggles his head in my neck.

“Yes…”

And with that, I feel the skin piercing on the side of my neck.

My mouth open in silent scream both from pleasure and pain and I have never felt this feeling before. The pain in the neck match equally with the pleasure he is giving me.

Then slowly, the pain changes into something else, something more powerful as feel tingling on my neck and it heightens the feeling of him inside me. I feel connected to him in so many different ways that I won’t be able to explain. I thought I was supposed to feel pain.

But it doesn’t last long, Xander pulls back, his lips brushing my forehead, lovingly.

“It will be okay. Sleep tight, my love.” I stare at him in confusion still in trance.

Leaning down he kisses me possessively before murmuring against my lips.

“I love you, Alexandra. You are mine always and forever.” 24

With that, my inside starts to burn. The feeling starts from my neck spreading towards my heart.

I writhe in pain and scream ,my hands flying toward my skin in an attempt to stop this burning. I claw at my skin but two strong hands pull them away from my skin, holding my body tightly.

I try to struggle but the hold prevent me from moving.

“It will be over soon, my sweet beloved. Go to sleep.” 8

Xander’s voice rings in my ears as I feel him leaving feather like kisses all over my body. The burning spreads all over my body but soon enough blackness surrounds my vision when I can’t take the pain anymore.

I chant in my head at the last moment of consciousness.

‘It will be over soon.’

‘We will be together forever now. For eternity. ‘
