Episode 2

Hello, she shouted as she couldn’t hear what the person was saying, the call ended and she called again, this time her heart was already panting,

nobody picked the call , she went weird as she almost threw her baby away, this has never happened before, she cried,

the call came again and she picked it immediately,

Hello please who is this? talk to me, I need my husband, she pleaded,

madam your husband is in our custody, #50million is the only thing u will give us before u see him again, the person said and ended the call,

Her phone fell down from her hand.

she stood still for a while in denial, it seems like a movie in her eyes,

Noooo this can’t be true she screamed as she forcefully stood up from the bed and carried her baby to ran out of the hospital but she collapsed and became unconscious, the baby cry from the floor attracted the attention of the nurses, the hospital room was a private one so she was the only one in the room with the baby, the nurses rushed in and saw her in the pool of her own blood and the baby on the floor screaming,

one of the nurses went to call the doctor while the others attended to her and the baby, Thankfully The baby was unharmed,

the doctor came in almost immediately,

why on Earth would she try to stress herself after delivery? he rhetorically asked as he saw her lying unconsciously, he checked and her heart still beats, he told them to transfer her to the emergency unit immediately and contact her family because it may take up to 24hrs before she will become conscious, she already lost loads of blood and will be needing a blood transfusion, she was transferred to the emergency ward while one of the nurses tried to know her location, she checked her phone and it was locked, she went to the hospital file and was able to get her husband’s number and location, she called the husband’s number but nobody answered, the baby was crying without any help, she took it upon herself to go to their house with the address written on the hospital file,

she went and met a locked door, the neighbors could not help as well, she went back to hospital and narrated everything to the doctor, the bleeding Already stopped and she was taking blood but she was still unconscious, they bought baby food to feed the baby while they keep waiting for any member of her family to call.

The following day a call came, it was her Younger sister Nkem, the nurses told her everything that happened and she boarded the next bus to Lagos that hot afternoon because she is living close by, within 3hrs she arrived at the hospital, she met Ava fighting for her life at the hospital bed while one of the nurses held the baby,

she cried and took the baby from them, went to bed and pleaded with Ava to wake up and carry the baby,

You cannot leave this innocent baby for me me sister Ava please wake up, she cried,

She asked for Ava’s phone and thankfully she was able to unlock it, she dialed her in-laws phone number immediately,

Hello are u ready to pay the #50million? A voice asked her,

she was shocked,

50million for what ? give the phone to Mr Williams, he is my in-law, she pleaded,

Madam is like you are joking with us, when u are serious u can call us back, he said and ended the call,

She screamed,

what is it? Ava asked,

You are awake, my goodness! Nkem expressed her happiness as she heard Ava speak but the call she just made gave her a mixed feeling,

Nkem why are u shouting? answer me, where is my husband? where is my baby? Ava asked and tears were already running down,

Nkem heart was broken but she needs to be strong for her sister and the baby

your hubby is fine, he came here before but you were unconscious big sis, see your baby is so cute, she said but Ava screamed on top of her voice

my husband, call my husband, ( she jumped out of bed) Nkem when did u come here, show me my husband, oooooh he was kidnapped!!! where am I going to see their money, we don’t have #50million, my husband…… she lamented,

Nkem was confused, she ran out first to call the doctor because the nurses left when she came,

the doctor came and told Ava to keep calm so that the bleeding will not start again but Ava screamed the more,. my husband, my husband…….. Doctor my husband was kidnapped, he was kidnapped today, yes immediately I gave birth, yes he was kidnapped,

she called her husband number again and the person picked the call again,
