His red eyes pierces into me so hard that I could feel it on my skin. His anger. I hated it. I have seen his eyes red before, many times. This time was different because it was directed at me.

“Going somewhere Charlotte?” Calvin growls out.

That was the exact second I forgot how to breathe and I’m 100% sure my heart stopped. As soon as I heard him say my name, I felt relief but also panic. He knew who I was. I try to swallow the panic down and throw on my brave face. But failed and I grimace when his hazel eyes return but the anger doesn’t go anywhere nor does the scowl that plasters his face. 4

I open the door and step out.

“Don’t do it in front of the kids”I plea.

I don’t know what he planned but I’m pretty sure he wanted to yell at me. He looks at my backseat where the twins sat. Lily waved whilst Cameron just stared at him. 13

“Move to the other side.”he growls 4

“What”

“Move to the passenger side”he repeats through his clenched jaw.

“What? No this is my car.”I’m embarrassed to attempt I stomped my feet.

“Well I’m driving it back.”he snaps back

“I was turning back”I said softly.

Not sure he would believe me.

“Sure you were”

he didn’t

“I was”I promised.

“Charlotte”he leaned in. “Move to the passenger side now”he almost shouted.

He had cut me off with his demand”NOW”

“Don’t move”he says to me when we arrive at the house moonlight members are staying at. 8

I scowl at him but do what he says. He leaves the car and walks to the poach. Cole came out before Calvin even knocked. I couldn’t hear what they were saying although I could have if I wanted to. Cole looks up at makes eye contact with me before nodding at Calvin. 1

Both men walk up to the car and open the backseat.

“Hello kiddos”Cole greets the twins.

“Uncle Cole”they both cheer in unison.

“I take care of them while you two talk about your differences”although he was addressing both of us, Cole was looking at me. 6

I didn’t reply but I did nod before turning my head away.

The disappointed look he gave me few hours ago is still swimming in my brain and I can’t help but be hurt.

“Thank you Cole”Calvin replies.

Thank you Cole. I mimic him in my head.

How indeed? How did he know? Perhaps it could be the moonlight pack but I had just seen the surprise look on Cole face so I don’t think so. Yes it could have been any of the others but nothing goes past Cole when it’s related to his pack members so he would have known.

Yes. Or maybe she was just pissed at me for leaving without saying anything. He hadn’t gotten her letter yet so I won’t be surprised.

Calvin enters the car slamming the door shut. We sit there in awkward silence for a beat before he starts the car. 2

“Calvin”I start

“Don’t say anything” 9

I ignore him and continue what I was saying

“I know you are angry” 2

“You have no idea how I feel Charlotte”he growls.

“But you have to understand where I am coming from”

“I understand that you tried to take my children away from me”he split out.

I see his knuckles whiten as he tights his grip on the wheel.

Okay so he knows the twins are his. May I say I’m relieved. It felt like a weight had been taken from my shoulders but as soon as I felt that another weight came on. What if he takes them away from me?

“You will not take them from me”I tell him with clear voice.

He was looking ahead but when I said that he head snaps to mine.

“Who do you think I am? Why on earth would I do that?” 13

I stay silent and stay that way until we arrive to the destination. One that I wasn’t familiar with.

“Where are we?”I ask while I take in the place

“My place”he grunts out. 1

“Okay pouty bear.”he glares at me. “Mind telling me why we are hear?” 1

“To talk”is all he says before he gets out of the care. 11

Not it’s just the truth. He can’t kill me.

I get out of the car but take a second to look around my surrounding. There was a house. It look old and definitely needed some work but it was standing and looks great. It is placed in isolated location, from what I could tell, it’s not close to the pack house but it’s not to far either. The house was surrounded by trees but there was a lake not far from the house.

“Do you own this land”I say in a awe.

“Yeah”he replies back to me walking towards the door. 3

He still pissed. I don’t think this conversation is going to go anywhere if he’s mad. I think he needs to calm down so we can have a mature progressive talk that would benefit both. 6

“Maybe I should go. We can talk about whatever in a couple of days”

I say this as I walk backwards to the car. He stops walking and turns to me. His eyes flashing red.

“You are not going anywhere Charlotte so don’t try it” 5

“I can see you’re pissed-“he cuts me off

“No. I can’t but maybe now isn’t the best time to talk”

I open the car door and enter before I realised I’m sitting in the passenger sit and he is stalking towards me. I gulp because even though he looks scary as hell…he also looks sexy.

Brightside or not is that he left the keys in the car. Probably because he knew this was isolated location and knew that no one was going to steal it. He also looks like he realised his mistake.

“Get out off the car Charlotte”he growls out.

“Sorry no can do”I say smiling.

I get ready to move to the driver seat when the car door nearest to me opens.

Crap…I forgot to lock the door.

Before I could turn on my please don’t hurt me I’m just an innocent lovely amazing person that just made a stupid mistake- like not locking the freaking door, he picks me up and out of the car. And get this… throws me on his shoulders like I’m a bag of potato.

I gasp because one second I’m in the car staring at his face pleading for him not to hurt me and then the next second I’m staring at his tight ass. 41

I would so agree if I wasn’t fuming. I scream for him to let me go but he ignores me and continues to walk. I punch his ass, bite his lower back, pinch his thighs but the guy doesn’t give. I notice we enter the house and he still hasn’t put me down yet. I try to kick him…doesn’t workout. 25

Then he slaps. No! He spanks my ass and that keeps me quiet. Not because I like it but before I am in shock, I mean how dare he spank me as if..as if I’m a child.

“Good girl”he says.

That makes my jaw drop.

I hear sounds of metal and keys but I don’t focus on it too much because I’m too pissed and I’m starting to get dizzy. I don’t know how the kids do it but being upside down is not fun. I’m pretty sure I’m turning red. Maybe throw up too. You know what? That won’t be so bad!

He throws me and I let out a little scream but notice that I’m thrown on a bed. 3

He grabs my hands, puts it near the bed head and get this… cuffs me. He freaking cuffs me to his bed. 238

“You’re right. I’m not in the right mood to talk. So I’m going to calm down and you’re gonna stay here like a good girl” 7

“You cuffed me, you jerk” 7

“To make sure you’re not going to runaway” 2

“Off course you’re not because you’re cuffed to my bed. Lovely sight”

I gasps because what am I going to say to that.

He walks to the door not looking back at all.

“You can’t just leave me here!”

“Watch me” is all he replies before leaving the room and closing the door after him.
