Final episode

Niphemi froze when he say Adesewa, the last person he expected to see, he was more suprised to see her eyes red and swollen. But now stunned to see her rushing towards him and ends up hugging him.

On he getting to whizzy’s place, he explained everything to him, whizzy had sympathised with him and also smuggled him out of the state to ile-ife to escape the wrath of sewa’s dad, he had even secured a job in ife to keep both of them going. What a friend.

That’s about 4 months ago.

He couldn’t bring himself to hug her back, because he’s having a paranoid thinking of his cover been blown and she’s been used to get him arrested. After seeing that she’s not ready to break it anytime soon, he’s inclined to hug her back.

“Adesewa, I’m so sorry for everything” he said after they’ve broken the hug, and sat down.

“Niphemi, I’m sowie too, my mother told me everything before she died, she told me how she lured you into it, but I’m so dissappointed in you and couldn’t bring myself to forgive you even after her death, you broke and shattered everything in me, even after my discharge from the hospital, I was a shadow of myself, left work, I even ostracised myself from everybody. Dad found it difficult to speak to me and more difficult for me to answer. It was hell niphemi. I was in delirium.”

She said meeting his gaze…

Niphemi was too ashamed to look into those gentle eyes mared by the hurt he has caused. He bent his head and murmurred an apology again.

“while I was in that hell, I couldn’t stop thinking of you, of what you did and what my mum said, she told me you are innocent and all blames are on her, I couldn’t bring myself to believe her, but you have driven me crazy, your love has clouded my mind that I can’t think clearly without you seeping into it. I almost went deranged when I discovered you have left the state even without explaining yourself to me, without asking for an apology. I was forced to come down here to see you just to allay my deepest fears” she continued.

“Adesewa, I am truly sorry for everything, I had to leave when your dad threatened to imprison me, my whole life crumbled, you are not willing to stand even the sight of me. Leaving was a difficult decision but I had no choice.” he said.

“how did you find me” he added quickly.

Sewa raised her gaze to look at Whizzy, that’s when they remembered he’s around, they’ve been basking in the euphoria of there reunion to know someone else is around.

“after I lost contact with you and couldn’t locate you, I ended up contacting whizzy, we have been talking for almost a month now, he told me how you’ve been depriving yourself of food and many other things, he told me how you have being a shadow of yourself, I would have come earlier, he refused to let me come claiming he wants you to see what you lost and know its worth before he would allow me to come.” she replied eyeing whizzy with twinkling eyes.

Niphemi was stunned, he didn’t know when he stood up and hugged whizzy, “I love you so much, you are one in a million” he said without refrain, tears trickling down his face.

He faced adesewa, raised her up and gave her a gentle, romantic hug, “baby, give me another chance, I can do without you, I’m sorry for hurting you, blah blah blah” tears streaming down each of thr faces.

They stopped the hug looked at each other with a passion filled eye as their lips meet for a blossom kiss.

They’ve been sitted for hours catching up on old times, sewa has cooked for him, their mood’s now much lighter and they chatted extensively. Sewa told him about the details of how she told her dad, about his furiosity, how incredulous he looks and how his fury led to the death of her mum; something that almost ripped her father apart. She explained how gloomy her father was after her death and broken too, they chatted chatted chatted.

“what are we now to do, I don’t have a work, your father’s still after my head I guess” he asked after some time.

“My father’ll do anything to make me happy, even if its accepting you back” she said winking at him.

“xo are you ready to meet your father in law?”

Epilogue:

Breaking news: the Nigeria airline boo235 crashed into the sea enroute Europe and all the passengers on board have been declared dead.

Niphemi’s so happy he’s given anoda shot at life, the whole truth of his incredulous activities hve been successfully covered up, a better job was gotten for him by Micheal of course, he got married to adesewa and they had three kids, a boy and two gals.
