EPISODE 37

Anika looks sick, crying had been her new work. She cries every blessed day.
She began to remember the incident of 15 years ago.
FLASH BACK***
Young rose walked to the beach bare footed. She looks down and depressed.
“Joseph sent me packing. God how will I do it? Is this how my in laws will keep calling me a barren? Father lord what have I done to deserve so much humiliations?”. She cried in the midst of the crowds.
Joseph is her fourth husband, the funniest part is that he’s from Africa. You know how the African thinks, I mean there mentality. She was sent out of her own house by her husband.
“He even duped me, why?”. She screamed stamping her legs on the wet soil.
“Why do I have a cruel fate? I just hate my life”. She shouted not minding the passersby.
After some hours, she walked to the beach its self.
“If I die, i pray i should have a good fate in my next life”. She said walking into the cool water.
“No no I can’t, I can’t die, I can still be given some chance”. She thought and ran out of the water.
She ran to the end of the beach. She played with the soil talking to it as if it was someone.
“Hey darling, how are you doing?”. She smiled patting the ground.
Suddenly she hard a loud scream.
She looked around and found no one.
“As I was saying…”.
She was interrupted with the scream again.
She stood up looking for where the scream was coming from, what really attracted her was voice of the person.
She traced the voice out of the beach to the forest.
She stopped and looked at where she is.
“Go back”. Her mind said.
“Look for the owner the voice you’re almost there”. Her heart said.
“I will and I must”. She herself said and entered the forest.
Part of mind was scared and the other one was not.
She entered, without walking much, she met a young beautiful girl laying on the floor.
She screamed when she saw her.
The girl face looks disfigured, more like they poured acid on her face.
“No this is bad”. Anika cried.
She knelt beside her and felt her pulse.
“She is breathing”. She said somehow with joy.
She made to carry the young girl but she didn’t.
“Nika you can’t, they might think you did it”. Her mind said.
“You should help her, treat her and make her yours. One good turns deserve another”. Her heart said.
She smiled at that thought.
“My daughter”. She said and carried to a near by hospital.

Hospital***
Anika is with the doctor in her office.
“Many things are wrong ma, the tests we carried out on her , the results are out already”. The doctor said.
“Okay go ahead”. Anika said anxiously.
“As you can see, it was acid that was poured on her face, the acid is very effective so it damaged her face down to her neck”.
“Secondly, it seems she fell from a high place, according to test we did, she sustained an injury on her head that had damaged her brain. It is possible for her to have loss of memory and might not remember anything again”. She concluded.
“This is bad, so what are we going to do”. Anika said sitting upright.
“Hmmm, let treat her for now and maybe carry on her facial surgery so she won’t be depressed or humiliated and again it will be for your own good”. She said.
Anika thought about it.
“If she’s given a new face, she will look different. And her brain is damaged, that means she won’t remember anything. Then I can take her in as my own daughter or better still grand daughter”. She thought smiling.
“Doc, you said she won’t remember anything right?”. She asked again and the doctor nodded.
“Ok let treat her now, I mean her facial surgery should be done now”. Anika said happily.
“Wow, madam am surprised. People do say face surgery is expensive but you are not part”. The doc said. Anika gave a cheaply smile.
“How much does it cost?”. She asked.
“It cost just seven millions dollars”. She said and anika spranged up.
“7 what?”. She asked.
“Seven millions dollars”. The doctor answered.
“Wow…that is a huge amount”. She said staring at space.

A week passed and Anika haven’t gotten half of the money and she was called today that the girl life is at risk.
She looked at her house and sighed.
“Out of six houses, I was duped and it remains one. It is better for me to sell this one before I will start with story that touch the heart”. She thought.
Immediately she called an agent and the house was placed on for sale.
Many people love it but can’t afford it. Only a young billionaire. He bought the house and paid her.
“Your name?”. She asked him.
“Jamal Kingsley”. He replied.
“Good, Please manage the house properly, I wouldn’t have sold it but I have to for my daughter’s sake”. Anika said.
“I will….”. He said and entered the house.
Anika took the money to the hospital and the girl operation started.

After the operation, anika didn’t see the girl face but hear her voice. She named her KIMBERLY because the girl had forgotten her name and there was no trace of her name anywhere.
“Grand daughter”. Anika gushed.
“Grandma is that you?”. Kim asked calmly.
“Hmm yes”.
“Come close, I really can’t wait to see you”. Kim said.
“Just a month left, okay”. Anima said stroking her hair.
Without even seeing her face she has this feelings that the girl is beautiful.

Anika is struggling to live after she sold all her properties.
No one came to search for kim or broadcast about her missing and this makes Anika happy.
She lied to kim that her and her parents had a car accident and they died but she didn’t.
Today is the day they will un band her face and Anika is happy about it.
She walked happy into her ward.
She met the back view of someone but didn’t know the person.
“Please where is my Kimberly?”. The asked the person.
Kimberly heard the voice and faced her.
“Grandma”. Kim called.
Anika was nonplussed with what she is seeing right now.
She walked shakily to her with her leg digracing her.
“My investment”. She called and hugged her,Kimberly hugged her back.

Months turning to years and years turning to decades. Kim and anika became besties, they share secrets together.
“Anika I think have started my menstruation”. Kim said rubbing her tummy.
“Really? Come here, you need sex education”. Anika replied.
The love each other like mad. Kimberly became everyone favourite, she is just too perfect.
Most people said she and anika don’t look alike.
“She resemble her late mother”. Anika replied.
Anika love Kimberly and Kimberly love Anika.

H-kiss***
The juniors wished their two seniors best of luck.
Kimberly smiled and Tony winked at her.
“Let go”. Mrs gold said and they entered the class.

Airport***
Tony and kim were shocked to meet their parents and friends standing.
“My kim”. Rose gushed and hugged her.
“Make me proud okay?”. She added and kim nodded.
“Anika”. Kim screamed when she saw her.
She hugged her and began to cry.
“My baby, my investment, my joy giver”. Anika praised making her to cry more.
Anika disengaged the hug and face her.
“I know you will make me proud, go and shine baby”. She said and kim nodded.
“Don’t stand there like a fool, come to momma”. Rose said to Tony and hugged him.
He broke the hugged and gave her cold smile.
“I know you came here for kim not me”. He said and went to his friends.
“Buddy”. Spark said and hugged him.
“Am gonna miss you “. James added.
“Am not going there to die”. He said in a funny way and they all laughed.
Mabel and Nimah went to Kimberly.
“Baby”. Kim called when she saw them.
“She is someone else baby”. Mabel said referring to Nimah.
Spark heard that and went to them. He pecked nimah making her to blush.
“Showing off, huh?”. Teemah said coming to them.
She became there friend few days ago.
“Teemah james”. Kimberly whined.
“Stop it, don’t let him to hear”. Teemah begged.
“Really? Teemah james”. Kim shouted for everyone to hear.
James heard and hissed.
“Will you continue like this?”. Tony asked.
“What about you?”. James asked too.
“What do you mean?”. He asked pretending.
“You and Kimberly, we do see you guys moves”. Spark said.
“Fuck you”. He spat and moved away from them.
After the paparazzi, everyone departed remaining kim and Tony, their flight is in 10min. Now remaining 5min.
Jamal showed up from no where.
Tony was the first person that walked to him.
“Am not here for you”. He said and walked passed him to Kimberly.
Kimberly was surprised, angry and happy. She also miss him.
“Am….”.
Kimberly interrupted him with and hug.
“I behaved like a kid and am sorry”. She said.
Tony is overwhelmed by jealousy, the hatred he has for him doubled.
Jamal broke the hug and gave her a flower.
He looked at Tony and could see jealousy all over his face.
“Never knew your boyfriend is this jealous”. He said referring to Tony.
Kim eyes widened.
“You know?”. She asked.
“Yes, I do. I have to go now”. He said and left her amazed.
He faced back and shouted.
“Let everyone see that monster in you, make everyone proud baby”. He shouted and entered his car.
“Baby?”. Tony wondered and left the placed angrily.
Kim was not aware something was wrong with him, she just sat down inhaling the scent of the flower.
“I love it”. She said.

“Is everything ready?”. Lizzy asked.
“Yes, Debbie had put the cocaine inside her bag”. Ivan replied.
“Good, let wait for the news”. Lizzy said.
“It will be like ONE OF THE BEST STUDENTS OF HOTCHKISS HIGH IS DEALING WITH DRUGS AND NOT ORDINARY DRUGS,COCAINE”. Debbie mimicked the reporters voice making them to laugh.

“Flight 278”. The pilots announced, Kimberly stood up and took her luggage to the counter.
